Does the 2022 Ford Bronco need hubcentric rings

I personally won’t buy a wheel that’s not hubcentric for my Bronco or any other car/truck that came from the manufacturer with hubcentric wheels……but that’s me. I suppose the adapter rings are ok if they’re machined correctly.
There are lots of wheels available that have the correct center bore for the Bronco.
I’ve been down this road before.

I tried, but options were non existent for a +35mm offset wheel with the proper 93.1mm bore when I was shopping for wheels. I can find +30 (Sasquatch wheels and RTR) or +25 (Icon), but +35mm is the sweet spot for my tire tread sitting just inside the edge of the non SAS fender flares while the rest of the sidewall pokes out.

You’re correct. It‘s really hard to find a nonstock wheel in a factory offset especially with the correct center bore.
Most want lots of poke.
The hubcentric adapter rings will work if they’re machined correctly……. I expect most are.
I’ll admit that I’m probably more particular than I should be on this subject.

No you don’t “need” them. It’s perfectly fine running lug centric wheels….if you get some vibrations at high speeds you may want to consider them….

Assuming you're wanting to run something like the popular ProComp 69 Series, (It's what I'm running), They are Lug Centric.

If you run any rim with a center cap that runs through the bore, hub-centric rings just end up being a headache, and will cause you fitment issues with the caps.

As long as you put your rim on without going straight to the impact, lug centric is fine without a hub centric ring. Position the wheel (Off the ground with no weight on the wheel or hub) and run all the lugs down by hand first to ensure the conical lugs are positioned in the center of the bore before going to the final torque.

You should be doing that regardless of how the rim centers, because even a hub centric rim can be off center on the studs until the lug centers on the stud hole.

Bottom Line, you don't need hub-centric rings on lug centric wheels.

I used some aluminum rings off Amazon. They must work fine as I don’t have any vibration.

I bought aftermarket wheels from tirerack and they came with them. Yes, I believe they are needed.

If you are changing wheels and the bore does not match the hub...then, YES you need hubcentric rings. Any tire/wheel store not installing them or strongly suggesting them....RUN to a different shop.

Interesting replies.

I have always been under the impression that the purpose of the hub was to bear the majority of the weight/force and transfer that directly to the axle and suspension instead of putting all that on the lug nuts.

I've broken lug nuts off by hand before and the idea that those studs are taking all those shear forces in all directions...(vertical and lateral) .... no thanks.

Not saying people are wrong for not using them, obviously there are many that have and never had issues. But for me, always... And metal ones at that.
