Normally, I leave it unlocked when our dog is inside, because I'm only away for a minute or two, but may have a situation coming up where I need to be away longer, just wondering if a dog moving around will set off the alarm? Anybody have experience with this?

Put the dog in while you're home to test.
As far as I know,
There is no motion sensor, but is a shock sensor, door sensor, and hood latch sensor

I didn't see anything in the manual about interior motion sensors, both my Maverick & MachE have them, seems odd the Bronco wouldn't....

Might hafta do a home test, as you mentioned, to be sure....

Key Sensor Components & Functions:
Perimeter Sensors (Standard): Monitor doors, hood, and liftgate for unauthorized opening.
Perimeter Plus Shock Sensor (Optional/Upgrade): A, 2-stage sensor that detects glass breakage or body impacts, issuing a warning chirp or full alarm. It includes an adjustable sensitivity dial.
Ignition Sensor: Triggers if the vehicle is turned on without a authorized key.
Active Intrusion Sensor (Optional/Some models): Detects movement inside the vehicle.

I have the perimeter alarm. This thread is the first I've heard of a motion detector in the bronco. If you find anything different let me know. I would think it wouldn't have one because of removable top

I'll hafta check the vehicle settings menu as well. The MachE & Maverick, you can turn off the interior motion detection.

I have a 24 WT and leave my dog in there all the time with doors locked and no issue. Don’t forget to leave the windows slightly ope.

It does not, but you can purchase the upgrade From the Ford Accessories website and either install it yourself or have the dealer do it.

My 2016 Mustang convertible has it as did the 2011 I had before that. It does not function if you lock the car with the top down for obvious reasons. I would assume it knows to disable the motion sensor if the top is unlatched.

I imagine the Bronco doesn’t have it because there is no sensor to let the vehicle know whether the top is on or off. All the latches are mechanical and external to the body of the vehicle.

in other words there aren’t any latches like you have on a car door where you can have a sensor to notify you if it’s unlatched.

In the convertible there is a latch in the windshield header. If the top is up and not secured, you get a warning if you try to drive off. There is no such thing in the Bronco.

I auto start it with the key whenever I leave my dog in there and so far it hasn’t triggered the alarm

This was an annoying feature on my S550 convertibe becaue had to keep ot unlocked when had a car cover on it when at lake or in mountains to protect from acidic bird droppings, could not fully disable it.
