I off road quite a bit and it’s very helpful for picking lines and when you are in tight trails, the overhead view is very helpful. It’s not a have to have, but I definitely use it and like it.

Yes, I use it all the time to help pick lines. It’s especially useful when you are following someone and you can’t see the ground under their car from your position in the driver seat. It’s like having a dedicated spotter.

I also wheel mostly in 4-low, but I don't find the camera that useful. This is mostly because I'm not good at using the camera to actually place the front tires. I could probably get better with practice. It is nice when you're parking, but 95% of street driving I do in the Bronco is to and from the trail. There may be a way to do it that I don't know about, but I wish you could switch the view to the rear in 4-low. I often lead the group I'm with and it would be cool to use the camera to watch the guys coming through an obstacle behind me.

They are great for understanding your approach. Also if you are about to lose a wheel over and edge. However the depth perception can be misleading. My wife still spots me in those tough areas, but I love being able to utilize her direction and the cameras. To me Lux is not worth, but the high package is mostly due to the 360 cameras.

The cameras are a lifesaver if you wheel in mountainous areas. Nothing better than being able to see what’s in front of you as you crest a 100 foot tall hill at a 40 degree angle with no chance of seeing anything through the windshield but sky.

Wheel cams can also come in pretty nice when driving on narrow trails with cliffs on one side. Also helps when putting your tires on big rocks.

I wheeled for years in a Jeep Wrangler with no cameras and the Bronco with, and I’ll never go back. I’m too lazy to get out of my vehicle that often these days..

I haven’t used them much off road, but they’re super helpful when parking in tight spots at the mall!
This is where I use them! Parking. 😂🤷‍♀️

I use them a ton! Off road putting it on the lift, parking, I'm going to to enable it in 4 high and 2 high on forscan at some point... It's just not high on the list right now.

Use it and my belly cams all the time. I’d rather see what I’m doing and pick my own lines.

Anyone have an idea if it is possible to add a forward facing camera? I have searched forums and not found a good answer. Getting a mid package vs. high. But would like to add a forward facing camera aftermarket.

Yes! I use the rear, front, and 360-degree cameras quite often while offroading, especially while going over a hump or hill where I can't see over my hood. Another situation where I'd use it is if it's a really tight squeeze on both sides of the trail and I am trying not to run over any big rocks on either side - it helps me coordinate that.

e.g. When I got close to the top of this hill, I was staring at my camera to make sure that I wasn't going to drive off a cliff or run over a small child by accident.

If I didn't have the front camera, I would've had to check to see what was on top of the hill before I drove up it.

When I offroad, I have to use them. Visibility is a huge downside to the Bronco compared to Jeep. Boxy corners, hood doesn't slope down, wide body. If I didn't have the cameras, I'd go insane wheeling.

For these off you with High and above, do you actually use the trail cameras when off road? The cameras are cool and all, but I have to wonder if I'd actually use them. For example, my cell phone can do all kinds of crazy things, but I only use about half of them.

I bought a mid package bronco. My order with Lux got scheduled today. So just trying to figure out whether to keep my current or trade it in on my order. My dealer is one of the good ones, so want to let them know pretty soon what i'm doing.

The cameras are one of the best off road features on this vehicle. The visibility you get allows me to feel safer when I am off road and in limited visibility situations. To me, it’s well worth the cost.

I use them off-roading all the time. So much, that I wish I could keep the camera on while in 4H. Only 4L lets you keep the trail cams on while driving.
Put it in one of the goat modes that default to 4L, then switch it to 4H while still in the same goat mode. Cameras stay on. Pretty sure I’ve had it in 4A and 2H in Baja mode with the cameras still on. I think it comes on in mud/ruts which defaults to 4H, then turn off the rear locker. I can’t really remember all the default settings for the goat modes, but play around with them, then adjust accordingly.
I use them a ton! Off road putting it on the lift, parking, I'm going to to enable it in 4 high and 2 high on forscan at some point... It's just not high on the list right now.
Is that a possibility in forscan? I’ve been waiting for someone to figure it out. If you could point me to the right thread where someone tells how, I’d appreciate it. Thanks.
