Yeah, they prematurely dry out the material you use them on and cause them to crack. A clean, damp, microfiber towel is all you need.

Avoid ANYTHING with chemicals.
There was another guy who let his air freshener touch the plastic trim and it melted the plastic.

I’ve had good luck with Maxima SC-1. Use it on the interiors of my Bronco and Raptor. Haven’t noticed any issues or “bad things” happening.

Griots interior detailer and Griots 3 in 1 ceramic spray wax after is all I use. Nothing else. Maybe a damp towel for small things in between cleaning. Ford should be ashamed selling us this environmentally friendly recycled crap plastic. Nothing like the plastic in my Ford work van. Very durable. I didn’t learn my lesson with my Maverick. But I like the Bronco.
