New owner here. Bought a new Big Bend 2.3L, manual trans, soft top a couple weekends ago. Have put almost 500 miles on it (5 on the odo when I test drove it) so far and I love it! Everything works as it should. The engine is smooth, the trans is smooth, and carplay even stays connected to my iphone.

I lurked here on the forum for a month or so before I bought the Bronco and almost decided not to buy one due to the posts on this forum. I know folks are more likely to post when they have issues, but are any of you driving what has been a mostly issues free Bronco? It's hard to tell if the good ones outnumber the problems some times.

Here's a pic from our first weekend of driving around the Texas hill country backroads.

22 badlands 2.3 7 speed. 30k miles, the passenger seat back was replaced under warranty for a poor fit around the seat release, but that's been it so far. I half expected them to deny it, but when they said it was approved I wasn't gonna say no.

Wireless car play irritates me at times, as it drops connection at the exact same areas when android auto doesn't, but that's more an annoyance than issue.

If Ford owns the specs to which the supplier adheres, it most certainly is a Ford problem.

If the supplier took liberties with the specs to try to meet Ford's pricing while keeping some profit for themselves, it's still a Ford problem for not catching it and/or not responding properly to it.

But if you tell me these are off the shelf pieces that I can buy anywhere...it's still a Ford problem for putting their name and warranty behind their choice of component.

All valid points, tell Ford that. Wear Items they wont cover especially lifted and running 37s they stated. But again in all fairness I did beat the hell out of them. For the record they are JUNK and once blown out again ill go FOX or KING.

I've had a 2021 Badlands since summer 2021, I've put 127k kms on it so far. I've had the Bilsteins shed their reservoirs at around 120k kms. So I took that as an opportunity to upgrade them to a much better suspension package. My only other issue was a recall for the wiring harness for my parking sensors, but the dealer gave me a new Explorer ST while they replaced the harness, so it wasn't much of an inconvenience.

I am past 50,000 miles.

Only issue I have is the motor for the windshield wiper fluid went out.

I still haven’t gone in to fix it. They don’t take reservations, and the turn around time just for them to tell you the issue is 48 hours.
Were you able to get this fixed? I took mine in to get it fixed once. It broke again immediately, and now the dealer wants over $1000 to fix it. Talking about a BCMC battery junction box! So pissed!

Damn!

sorry to here that man.

I haven’t taken it back, because they said they’ll have to keep it for 48 hours, and no loner.

I just started working from home, so I’ll try to take it back again and see what they say…

They tell me 10 days when I call for an appt. Which is why I didn’t get it back to them before the warranty expired. Then they kept it for 12 days before letting me know they won’t pay to fix it. Sorry…ranting:^)

Ford has NO mechanics whatsoever.

Ford dealers have mechanics. Don't like one dealer? Try another.

I was impressed when the techs diagnosed my brand new Bronco and its Advanced 4x4 problem. They started at the beginning--the battery. And they discovered it was bad. So they replaced it. The problem stayed, so they moved on and continued looking at the problem. That's troubleshooting 101.

Some good techs are still out there. Regardless, this isn't a Ford issue at all.
True, I did find a good Ford dealer service tech that was able to help diagnose a transfer case issue, even though it was not his shop assignment. There are good and bad techs at every service center, just have to find the good ones and stick to them.

Three days in during first wash, "new" 2023 MIC top found delaminated and surface cracked. Had asked dealer via email to check before pickup 2.5 hrs away. They are helping me get it fixed it under warranty.
