So I'm currently at the Northwest Bronco Roundup in Florence, OR. We had just under 150 Broncos meet up on the beach this evening, and a couple of use noticed a new issue:

Our cameras are no longer usable in motion in Sand mode.

Previously, we could use our cameras while in motion, as long as we were in any of the off-road modes. And we can still use cameras in Baja mode. But if we put it in Sand mode, the cameras are not available while in motion (over the usual 5-10 mph.

At least 3 of us noticed this issue, despite using our cameras while driving in Sand mode in the past. All of us that noticed the change were driving 2022s. We spoke with a couple people in 2023s, and they can use their cameras in Sand without issue.

Since this was working before, we're thinking this was caused by a software update.

Anyone else have this issue?

Did you all check your versions of software? Might be a good idea to see if you all got the same updates.

What you describe is accurate for my 2021 non-sas OBX. Sand: no camera in motion after 5mph. If you change to Mud/Ruts, you will have camera while in motion. You can use mud/ruts on the beach. Another work around might be to put in sand mode and switch to low range, camera might work then.

We didn't get a change to check software versions. (Had limited time before we had to move due to incoming tide.)
Definitely felt like we were on to something with a difference between 22 and 23 models. And the fact that at least a couple of us with 22s remember using cameras in Sand mode last year.
