I went with the hitch light because I heard it tricks the truck into thinking it’s towing which in turn disables SAS. I hope I’m missing something because it doesn’t disable SAS and I get the warning pop ups telling me all the features that are disabled when you tow. Anybody have any ideas? Seems silly to keep clearing messages instead of just turning SAS off which is what I was aiming to not have to keep doing to begin with. I know the obvious is to buy the behind dash relay and be done with it.

I have the C1R+brake in my bronco and my wifes and have no issues with my tow or any error messages. It plugs and plays into your 7 pin. Call duode diodedynamics. They customer service is top notch

I've got one on my WT with OEM tow kit. It doesn't disable SAS and I hadn't heard that was a thing.

I bought one for my 23 F-150 Tremor. When I first plugged it in, it activated tow mode and deactivated my rear sensors. I reached out to Diode Dynamics and they informed me that there was an issue with the harness they sent out with my model. They sent out a new harness and I never had a problem again.

I took it off the F-150 hoping to use it on my Bronco, only to find that my hitch doesn't have wiring set up yet (I bought used). So now it sits on my work bench in the garage waiting for me to get around to installing.

You most likely ordered the wrong one. The Diode Dynamics C1R does not work on the Broncos, not unless you buy the kit we sell which uses a different connection system over the trailer.

Only the C1 works out of the box

Instead of connecting the C1R to your trailer connection it'll connect in-line to your factory tail light. The strobing brake light portion of the Hitchmount will not work however, but the brake portion will. You won't use the splitter or upfitter harness in this kit though it's just part of the kit.

Even with F150's you have to order the CORRECT C1R kit. 2015 and newer F150s need a different wiring kit then the one that comes standard with a C1R. Just like on the newer F150s and Broncos, C1R will connect to the tail lights instead of the factory trailer wiring.

The C1R utilizes the brake function of the trailer harnesses and newer Fords think a trailer is connected when you start to use this feature. That's why it gives you errors on the dash about trailer issues and/or sensors being disabled. C1 only utilizes REVERSE and RUNNING LIGHT which doesn't effect the trailer system but the C1R also utilizes the BRAKE which is where the computer is looking for something.

All DD dealers have the exact same pricing as an FYI. So no dealer will ever have a better price then someone else.

Ahh for future reference you just have to use a COUPON CODE on our site is all. We don't do instant discounts because of how our system works.

Panda are good people, we like them :) They buy our harnesses and brackets.

Are you using the strobe module and/or do you have the actual brake function of your C1R enabled (some people pull that wire out)

Nope, simple plug and play with the 7 pin adapter. Never used the tap its still in the box, and everything functions as it did before installation on both broncos.

I didn't cut the jumper. It's just installed as it came out of the box.
