The C1 put out 1,449 raw lumen (1,030 measured). I'd imagine the C1R put out the same, but add in the low/high brake red back-light modes.
The C1R draws 3.3 watts, not just 1 but all 3 C1R I have.. . The c1 is rated for 12.8 watts.

Somethings not right with either your wiring setup or power source then

I used 2 bench supplies and a mean well 50 amp supply with a wattmeter display. Everything comes out to 3.3 watts. Using the 2 wires that give me white light. I can't remember which of the 4 it was. Wired with the pigtails it comes with and clamps onto the pigtails.
That's why I asked diode dynamics for specs. They said they are closed Friday.. will reply next week.

Is your meter on the right setting... is the light turning on when you are measuring power.

I just tested a C1 which they rate at 1.1Amps. I got .89 amps (at 13.87volts). Which is 12.3443 watts

Now that's a C1 not a C1R but the C1R are pretty similar. Again I have a feeling you don't have something hooked up right. I don't have any C1R here.

If your bored, come swing by the shop with your C1R and we'll play with them. I won't have C1R till Thursday next week to play with

Yup same supply I used to test everything from a ss3 pro. Ssc2 pro, Baja S8 50". To all the various rigid and Baja lights I had in the past.

You're not running the lights in SERIES are you? I assume you tested just ONE light?

I'll have more info next week when mine arrive. Im kicking myself for not saving ONE set for the show-room.

300 w bench supply. Amp cranked to max. The boards are limiting white led power.

I have a feeling you're not using that power supply correctly to read amperage if you want the truth. BUT I don't have a C1R to test with just a C1.

Do you have any SS3 or SSC2 you can test doing the same thing. This way I can test them with our meter to see if we get different #'s from your equipment.

So, I believe the backup light (white) is just over 1,000 Lumens.

That is bright enough for my needs ---- when I back up in the dark (my windows are tinted and reduce vision at night ( backing up). Camera is great, but the side mirrors.

I have tested ssc2. Ss3. Those read right. I will hook some up tomorrow. My big power supply has powered a Baja S8 40" and read correctly

Started of with a C1R. Unplugged and plugged in a ssc2 pro. Judge for yourself if my bench supply is accurate

So I tested a C1R that arrived today. Sure enough... .23amps on the C1R and .90 amps on the C1

I also noticed a significant different in brightness comparing the C1R to the C1... C1 is brighter.

I let Diode Dynamics know and asked them about it.

Thanks! With a big dealer like you inquiring. It should be much quicker to get an answer. Im not sure if there's much useable light at .23amps. especially after the dispersion pattern
