Interesting you mentioned that I was getting a slight chatter at cold start up for a couple of seconds up until about 12,000 mi when I stopped using the Ford motor oil and switched over to Valvoline full synthetic. Problem solved.
that is interesting, I have historically bled Ford Blue ,using only Motor Craft oils and have averaged 250,000 - 300,000 miles before trading or selling them. I do believe full synthetic oils keep tarnish and sludge down but doesn't really keep contaminants out. It is the dirt entry that causes the wear, good fluids keep the debris suspended to reduce the damage. Long oil change intervals just leave the debris in the engine. I am not an engineer but I have been a construction equipment mechanic for over 40 years. I have seen a lot.

Ill throw another 5000mi oil change opinion in the mix.
We have had two 3.5 ecoboosts and a 5.4L. No cam phaser issues. Oil is inexpensive. Change it before 5000 miles. Doing the same on a 2.7 Bronco. I also dont use auto stop start- no idea if that had helped.
I still have the 5.4L and its my daily driver at 220k. Its had Mobil 1 since 40k mi. Other than spark plugs, coils an boots its been solid.
While I know the issue is real I think we hear more of the bad than good.

Try Ford Flood mode, basically to let the engine crank with oil pressure before let it run completely.

Been doing that for these possible problematic cam phasers issues.
