New to the forum so sorry if this has been asked (I did search first)

The top of the dash does have 4 of what appears to be knockout plates. Has anyone removed one? Is any company making accessory option that fit in them?

Thx

Actually, I don't think that has ever been asked before.

Those aren't knock out plates. Just small storage areas. There are aftermarket rails that you can install on the dash that are made to hold phones, cameras, hats, etc.

Edit. I assume you are talking about these areas?

Useless area that Ford had to make look like something other than flat. Everything slides in them. There are inserts that offer some grip.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. When I change the speakers on Saturday I'll have a look under

Even if you could open these holes up and make little cubbies - does it really make sense to have a bunch of stuff all over the dash? Im not sure people are really getting into those rail systems much. The windhsield is short enough as it is...

Would be a good spot for speakers. But dollars to donuts you'll find the space crammed with ductwork and wiring.

I set my sunglasses up there when it’s parked for the week.

I got some Chinese rubber inserts from Amazon to keep stuff from sliding around... really don't put anything on the dash other than maybe sunglasses.

Does the reflection of the blue square outline drive you nuts while driving?

You could fill them with water for the ducks some Jeep owner leaves on your bronco.
I fill the trays with holy water, for doing sign of the cross that on cold days my manual trans remains silent. ;)
