My Apple car play only connects successfully about 40% of the time, lol. Not looking to further this losing record.

I only use Car Play any more when I load up OnX, and then, I only use it hard wired. It's still not perfect, but yeah, went from about 40% to 80%. I gave up on Wireless Car Play a long time ago.

For most driving I just use Sync Bluetooth - even that isn't 100%...

Ridiculous we can't even get the radio to work right, honestly, when that was a problem that had pretty well been licked decades ago.

This update is completely free for existing D-Switch owners and was developed in direct response to customer demand. While Apple CarPlay integration may not be something every user wants or needs, it has consistently been one of the most requested features from our customer base, especially as solutions like the Garmin PowerSwitch have gained popularity.

Our engineering team listened to that feedback and delivered an option that gives users more flexibility in how they control their accessories. If CarPlay isn't for you, the D-Switch still works exactly as it always has through the physical controller and mobile app. This update simply adds another control option for those who want it.

What I want is one physical switch to turn off the screen and audio when I need to.

It would be really nice for camping I think — access up front via car play, throw the switch bank in the back to have easy access in the cargo area, and if you wanted you could dig the phone out and have access from the tent
