I have had three incidents where dipstick on the 2.7L has blown out, blown about a quart of oil out on to the hood liner.
- Driving back from K2, at high speed against high winds in Mason TX
- coming over Independence Pass, CO
- Going up Black Canyon of Gunnison, CO

Mods running at the first time were Burger Tune Map 2, Roush CAI, aFe cat back, TS BOV, PCV catch can; second two times had the Injen CAI and charge pipes installed by then. I see boost popping to 17-18 psi during strong pulls but not sustaining.

This seems like the amount of boost could be causing this, but I regularly read here and have not heard this problem from others with same setup. I was about to add a CCV catch can loop but decided to ask around about this first. Thanks!

My stock 2.7 sustains 15psi if you stay on it.. You’re pretty much at stock pressure so zero chance that is causing “a quart of oil” to blow out of the dipstick.
Not saying you don’t have a pressure problem but it’s not simply from 17 psi out of the turbo. you’re getting some serious pressure where it’s not supposed to be.. most likely from a funky aftermarket part

Did you received a Crankcase Pressure warning like I did?

I would suspect an issue w/ the PCV system

This is where I would start since you have a modified pcv/catch can. Otherwise i'd be looking at the reason for excessive blow-by

I’d Get the good Mighty Mouse catch can with the bypass. Don’t push the rear main seal out.

I have that code stored in my connected vehicle data (P051B), never had the CEL for it but it pops up there. There is a TSB for a reprogram. TSB 23-2185 for .3 to reprogram.

I would start with the basics.
Is the oil maybe overfilled?
Is it a potential issue with your aftermarket catch can? Maybe remove it and retest.

17-18 pounds of boost is not even close to being the cause. Mine will hit 28 and I’m not having any pressure issues or blowing out the dipstick.

Dealer flashed the PCM due to a TSB related to misfire codes and CEL cleared and engine runs smoothly again. Injen gear under the hood and all.

Yet the truck was in the dealer 2 weeks, and I was told everything it needed two new injectors, a couple of coils after days of them driving and diagnosing to find nothing. Then this TSB was discovered, they executed it and problem fixed.

I am hoping to have this TSB done to my Bronco soon. I have an appointment with my service advisor. He said the stored code is the same as the one in the TSB. I find sometimes in one of the GOAT modes and accelerating, the Bronco will start misfiring and blinking the CEL. I tried changing the spark plugs to also help with a rough idle, but it hasn't solved my issues.
