My Bronco has Soundguard glass, I don't know if thats even available aftermarket. With my luck I'll probably find out soon enough.
It’s not and that’s how I got my insurance company to cover our Navigator’s windshield with OEM. Told them by only paying the amount for aftermarket they are not replacing with like kind and quality, which is the purpose of insurance. Had any aftermarket glass offered the sound layer, I would not have had an argument.

My windshield has a crack and needs to be replaced. My insurance won't pay for an OEM replacement on my '24. For anyone with a non OEM replacement, how are they holding up, any issues? How's the quality? Any noticeable waviness?
I had a 2016 Edge Sport and the roof glass took a rock off a dump truck. Insurance would only pay for an “OEM equivalent “ so I had an OEM Ford glass installed and had to pay the extra they wouldn’t.

It isn't always an easy option since Safelite is trying to take over the market, but if at all possible don't use Safelite, use an independent glass shop. If people keep using Safelite soon there won't be any other options, which is exactly what they want.
I use State Farm and it was because of this forum that I sought out a $0 deductible for my 22 Bronco. I had my windshield replaced a while back with OEM glass from Safelite.

The difference in the cost of my policy is $20 every 6 months. Glad I am not paying $700-1000 for a replacement.

I have State Farm Insurance and when I needed a new windshield for my Audi she asked me to avoid Safelight. Didn't give a reason but I used an independent shop near my house. Maybe they overcharge insurance companies.

all I wanted was OEM glass. Didn’t really care who installed it. I assumed any installer for State Farm had to be decent.

I had my original 2022 windshield replaced last month at Safelite for $758.00. So far there have been no issues, and I noticed that the noise from the windshield area is quieter than it was when the original windshield was in place. I had to pay out of pocket since the cost was below my $1,000.00 deductible.
So I ended up with the non OEM Safelite and just sayin" OEM lasted 7 mos, Safelite 4 years so far
