1500 miles and cracked windshield

You might want to look into windshield protection films. I think there are several types now. I used one when I ran my car on the track. Not a complete solution, but it does help avoiding small chips.

that’s what I do. Doesn’t stop it but anything to minimize potential damage is worth it

I've been driving with a crack from one end of the windshield to the other for 6 months. It is just low enough that it doesn't distract me. I'll wait until I get one that is in the way before I replace the glass.

Just replaced my windshield.

I have held off on any films but I did get this shield with lights. Was looking for lights, and since I have the OBX grill, nothing really fits well in there. This is a great look and integrates with the turn signals!

Same here. I’m just gonna wait until it’s unbearable. Have had several chips filled successfully. But driving to the mountains many times in the winter one is bound to get pummeled by rocks and gravel. I have windshield insurance with $250 deductible.

My jeep buddy has replaced his windshield 3 times, about once/year.
