Are any of you having any luck with getting your dealer doing a COVP on your bronco? Mine doesn't think they need to do a COVP.
My dealer indicated it was mandatory.

wonder how Ford will prioritize all of us and fill our orders.

If they were smart,
Your ability to maintain optimism after all this is impressive.

Short answer, they won't.

Question about COVP. Placed an order today, and got my Dealer order form listing all my options, and email from Ford about the order a short time later. Is the COVP something separate or what? I am going back and forth with them and they are saying it is all GTG. I submitted my DL to them for the order. I am now officially confused. I am reading online that they have to do a separate enrollment to confirm it?
Thanks!

"If they took your license then they should have done that, the point of scanning your license is to submit to Ford and attach it to your order so Ford knows that vehicle is requested by that dealer for a real customer and not just dealer stock. At least that’s my understanding so you should be good!"

Note:

COVP is encouraged but not required for the 23s as far as I know.

Most dealers just have you submit a copy of your DL and sign your DORA as confirmation. The dealer then sends that info to Ford as confirmation as a legitimate order and they will receive a confirmation or denial in return. You will not directly receive any email or other confirmation from Ford stating that COVP has been completed and your order will not change status.

A dealer doesn't really have any motivation not to complete COVP. If the process is not completed your order won't get pulled and they essentially just wasted their own time corresponding with you and submitting your order.

Edit. COVP was required on the MY22 to MY23 re-order and I have not seen anything stating it is not required now that order banks have opened back up. One would think it is a requirement as commodities are so restricted and Ford will want to keep the order bank backlog as realistic as possible.

Thank you! I placed and order and so did a buddy. For my order, the salesman I am working with placed the order, sent me the DORA, and then the next day, emailed me about COVP, and sent a buyers order for me to sign. I got the email confirmation from Ford right away.I had also provided my license. For my buddy's order, he submitted his license, and also got an email from Ford for order confirmation, and the DORA, showing what he ordered, with priority code etc. At that dealership, the salesman said that he essentially had never heard of COVP, and that it was maybe something Ford does. My buddy then called the sales manager, and asked about the program. He was then told that they were waiting for the banks to close, and then they would email all of the order holders, to then provide a signed DORA with license. He had already provided his license at the start of the process. He did also get rhe email confirmation from Ford about the order within about an hour. I am trying to help him, and we're concerned that the dealer may be doing something shady.
