COVP and confirmation time frame?

So day 1 I was in my dealer's office giving them my driver's license and color options. They were "busy with the Maverick" deadline but would "get to the broncos in the next week".

Here I am at this point (two weeks later) not sure my dealer has sent my COVP and updates to Ford yet. How long should it take from submit to confirmation email? I was a little surprised to find out my sales guy couldn't just log in and take care of it, "that is handled by our commercial team"... So info from him has been largely apologies.

To be honest I am getting a bit frustrated.

I didn't mess around. I went there in person. I have a decent relationship with the sales manager so that helps. But there's no way I would rely on a call or email when timing is critical. I went in on Tuesday and got the scheduling confirmation today. I hadn't planning on going in this week at all because I thought it wouldn't make a difference given how long I've been waiting, but some time opened up and I got very lucky.

I didn't mess around either... Unfortunately my experience has not been nearly so positive.

I went in on the 26th and sat down with my dealer. He told me that he still had COVP for other orders that he was waiting on that he'd submitted on the 23rd but he would send me a copy of the approval when mine came in. I had the email from him within an hour or two that same day with the approval email from Ford which surprised me on the quick turn around.

I got a call from my dealer this evening, apparently there have been some technical problems on his end but he expects to have a DORA for me to review tomorrow, says he has a whole stack of them so ... here's hoping they have me in there!

September 24th I emailed my dealer to tell them to roll my order over as is. They sent the DORA shortly after requesting it being signed an a copy of my license again. Sent that back a few minutes later and got an email confirmation from Ford before the dealer replied back that everything was submitted.

Oh and order code was not 99 and the Sasquatch package was still there.

Pretty much every dealership in the Metro area has hundreds of Bronco orders still outstanding. I was around 430 at Earnhardt when I made my reservation, and they have had 19 months to take more orders since then.
The big dealers like Sanderson had a lot more than that.
