So I just ordered a 26 Heritage last week. Dealer said 10-12 weeks for production. I was wondering how long it took others who custom ordered to get there’s delivered. In past years I ordered an f250 and it arrived much quicker than they told me.

secondary question has anyone changed out the running boards for rock rails? Is it pretty simple like a couple bolts and do I need a lift or could I just crawl under and do it?

10 -12 sounds reasonable. Mine was order back in October and will be going down the line this week. They just started production of '26s last week. You should get an email from Ford shortly verifying your order first then you'll receive another when they have a production date scheduled.

. This dealership out of Kansas does a production schedule video every week. Last week (which is the link) said they were scheduling for the weeks of March 2nd through 23rd. Which means if you placed an order last week that is when it would likely be scheduled.

It just makes me laugh every time someone posts a question like this. I guess the 'old days' are long gone when we submitted a reservation in the WILD hope that eventually (more than a year away) we'd actually end up with a Bronco.

Yes, lots of people have.
The factory steps come off easily enough and you can easily slide underneath the Bronco without the need to jack or lift it. Ease of install is going to depend on which sliders you decide on and can range from 2 brackets, 6 nuts & 5 bolts (per side) for the oem sliders, or 5 brackets, 6 nuts, 20 small bolts, 5 larger bolts, removing and re-installing two body mounts, running a bunch of wiring and a pair of contact switches (per side) for the RSE slider steps. (I just removed my RSE's and re-installed my oem's this weekend)

If you go the oem route, check the marketplace here and on FB, most people have a hard time giving those things away.

As soon as we get ours the running boards are coming off and rock rails on. We picked some up off of marketplace.

I ordered 12.02 and got my window sticker tonight. Blend date is 02.04 on a pushed back week to 02.02.

Now to see how long it takes for it to arrive by rail...
