I had ordered a Bronco Wildtrak LUX package a little over a year ago. In March I stumbled upon an F-150 Tremor for sale at MSRP. Completely loaded. I went for it based off the horror stories of chips, delays, engine issues, etc. with the Bronco.
I let my local dealer know I had changed my mind and I assumed they canceled the Bronco.
Today my dealer calls and tells me the Bronco I ordered is about to be built with a mid November delivery date. I’m having a tough time not considering it. Since having my Tremor, I’ve spotted an almost identical Bronco to the one I ordered that must live close to me. Always have a moment of ā€œdamnitā€ when I see it.
Problem is, we have three young kids (9,6,2) and they fit flawlessly in the back of my Tremor. I am aware the Bronco is a squeeze, but the wife also had a new Explorer. So for long trips that could be our hauler.
The wife worries about space in the Bronco primarily. I just want a few other peoples thoughts on this. Payments would go down a decent amount too. So that would help.

I would not trade a supercrew for a bronco. Just think in a couple of years your kids will be double their size and at war in the back seat. My supercrew is just enough space for 4 adults on a long drive. My wife yelled at me when I loaded the bronco and said hell no prior to our last road trip(2 hour trip).

Decisions, Decisions..... I would stay with the Tremor. It is nice to have a truck in the house and your wife already has the explorer. But I might try and find a buddy who wants to buy the bronco before I would let the dealer just "have it". Just saying.....

Your situation appears to be a fairly common one: a Bronco ordered, another vehicle (usually cancelled dealer order) purchased, what to do? Happened to me: I have an ordered Bronco coming in about the same time, but I'm happily driving one I bought from another dealer.

The general advice is to accept the order and flip it for a profit. There's enough demand to justify it. That's what I'm going to do. Check Bronco prices on carfax and cars.com, see what your mode and option package are going for. Watch out for hidden or unexpected expenses, such as: should you pay sales tax, only for your buyer to have to pay it again?

Two relevant threads:

Introduce yourself to that Bronco owner and ask questions. Maybe he'll take you off-roading! Think things through: be objective, work the arithmetic but the longings of your heart do count. Keep your paperwork organized. Whatever you decide, enjoy your ride, and don't let "buyer's remorse" nag you. You're very fortunate to have this "problem."

Which vehicle's feature set fits your lifestyle better?

A lot of people are buying the Bronco because it's the cool new thing, not because it fits their use, and they're the ones that are going to be frustrated by what it can't do.

You are really talking about 2 completely different vehicles. Some people have found these handy in making decisions though.

Well since I have no use/desire (and never had) for either a 4dr pickup or 4dr Bronco I guess it would come down to I can take the top off the Bronco...

It’s going to be tight fit with 3 across. Hard call, but I’d keep the truck, unless you can afford both.

I own both and they both serve different purposes; if you tow heavy then you have no option but to keep Tremor; the Tremor is hands down the more comfortable ride but the Bronco has a fun factor the Tremor can not provide.

I have 11 8 2. 11 is out of any kind of seat 8 is in booster and 2 in a normal forward facing seat. Test drove a mannequin for a couple days and they all fit fine. I didn't get any complaints other than the angle of the back seat was weird. Only a short test period though. I'm scheduled for build on 9/19 so we will see.

Score on the Tremor without ordering. If you have a Wildtrak coming before the 2023's start getting delivered, you likely can flip for a profit and probably at least break even on the bet. Most Wildtraks are heavily constrained.
