Just received my rig on Tuesday and had it in its first snow storm last night. I noticed after I picked it up that there seems to be either and hvac dead spot or almost like a draft in between the drivers seat and the door. Haven’t been able to verify if it is in the passenger side or not. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing it. I think it may also be back draft from the rear because the rear heat ducts might not be connected but I haven’t verified yet. I’ve dried adjusting the hvac direction but with little effect. Thoughts???

I have a draft near my left foot. I’ve noticed the heat duct under the dash seems to be a bit sloppy. I use AUTO on climate control and it seems to help a lot. I’m going to crawl under the dash when it’s not -24 to see what’s going on. Keep in mind, it takes a LONG time to warm up all the plastic etc when it’s cold. Especially when there are no heat ducts in the console or roof.

Can't say I've noticed on mine. I don't have climate control since my Bronco is the low trim, but I've driven in temps below -20c without issues, and haven't even needed to max the heater.

I feel like there's a draft when I have auto on... A lot of air comes out of the window vent and I don't keep it super hot, so it's almost like it cools before I feel it. Might be same for you?

I noticed it when my son was driving on New Years night. Between the seat and the door, there's a cold spot close to the door panel. I didn't think much of it because I've also experienced cold spots in my Fusion, our Equinox, and my daughter's Jeep Compass.

Yup, I suspect it's the thin doors. Trade off from making them lighter. They're way thinner than typical doors and it's very noticeable in cold temps. The cabin is warm but there's a definite chill up close to the doors.

It was -20 the day I picked up my Bronco 🥶

I experienced the same thing on a two hour drive all between -1 and 10 degrees, driving from northern to southern MI. Had to increase temp several degrees to make a difference. And then the rest of the cabin was quite warm.

I could not figure out if it was a dead spot or draft just putting my hand down there. My lower thigh was freezing cold and the rest was of my body borderline hot. I did find keeping my left foot closer to the seat helped just slightly, so maybe just dead spot?

Quite annoying if you ask me, and being winter is just beginning and I make this drive at least weekly, it would be wonderful to find a solution. That said I did not notice it until the last trip, but that was the coldest yet.

I will definitely be keeping an eye on this thread for suggestions or solutions.

Yeah it’s strange and has been coming and going. Planning on doing a little more investigating because based on a few friends with broncos and the forum it seems like an intermittent issue.

Hi there. Will you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this on my end.
