2 Door drivers seat adjustment

When you pull the handle at the top of the back rest and move the seat to the front to gain access to the back, is the seat supposed to stop in the original position when you pull it back?

Yeah, but you need to hold your mouth right. I think you slide it back before moving the seat back verticle

It should if you slide it back before putting the seat back up.

No. The seat will stop where ever it is when the seat back is locked back into position

What is this handle at the top of the back rest that you speak of? Mine doesn't have that.

Arrghhh! Six months I've been doing it wrong! I certainly don't remember reading that in the owner's manual. Not that I can remember all 500+ pages of that thing.

Learned something new today. And I'll remember to slide the cushion back before putting the seat back into place. I wish my Mustang had something like that, which it definitely doesn't.

The handle at the top of the front seat backrest is only on the 2 door models.
I don’t think the manual mentions it either, they only talk about the rear seat of a 2 door.

It slides back and forth.

I did get it to go back to the original seating position after playing with the lever under the front of the seat a couple of times. Seems like it is functioning properly now.

Think of it like a "double rail".. If the seat slides all the way back, then the home seat position is all the way back.

Fold the seat all the way forward, keep the back compressed like pacman and then slide the seat as far back as you can, upright it to lock it in. Then hop in and pull the seat into your preferred position... that should set it up for ya

Its kinda tricky to get used to but it works

yeah, it kinda strange. I just slide it bad before rocking the seat back.
