So I've seen some really good ideas for cell phone mounts on here and in other places in the forums that are using the picatinny rail system and even 3D printing mounts. I like them, but wanted to actually have a mount that could also charge my phone at the same time. So this is what I came up with for my iPhone w/ the Magsafe feature...

It charges great and holds my phone in place very securely w/ the Magsafe cover I have for my phone. It's adjustable and really easy to assemble. Below are the links to the parts I bought on Amazon to build it. The charger of course is about half the cost of the whole thing, but still way cheaper than most mounts I've seen w/o the charger. I only wish there was a cleaner way to hide the the charger wire though...

Adjustable Ballhead Mount
Female Thumb Wheel Lock Nut Adapter
23mm Diameter Sticky Adhesives

I bought a 1/4 20 1” ball and cell phone arm mount from Bullet point mounting solutions. Very high quality. I use it to hold my switch panel but works fine for phone too

Your profile says Badlands but I'm curious to know what you're driving now. Did you pick up a mannequin while waiting? What did you get?

Yeah, picked up a base while I wait. Was a customer order that didn’t take delivery

If you are looking for a premium phone mount with modularity and the ability to keep a death grip on your phone while wirelessly charging it..

https://www.quadlockcase.com/

These are excellent quality, but pricy. Popular with people looking to mount their cellphone to motorcycles, etc as they lock into place quite securely.

May be overkill for your needs.

I've been using a ProClip mount in my Wrangler, along with a universal charging cradle. It's a great system and if I need to, I'll do the same in my Bronco. But I'm also kind of hoping that the screen interface makes it less necessary. I definitely won't be doing any magnets or vent mounts. Those will last about 2 minutes on any trails.

Here is the Tackform mount, just installed. Not a great pic, but it's dark and we all know how little interior light the Bronco has...🙂 It's quite beefy and solid. Curious to see how it will stay tight as I drive but I'm assuming they have that figured out. The phone grip portion is the best I've ever tried. I'd say if you need a mount a good option for $59.

Wireless Apple Carplay in my Silverado 1500 work truck is the shiznit. I can take calls on either phone, it hooks up to both for calls and one for data functionality.
