Anyone remove/replace the carpet on the back of the rear seats? I know IAG makes a solution, but that is like a Velcro application. I am looking to remove the carpet.

Carpet unzips off, seems like the mgv covering goes with it..agree the carpet is annoying, I don't have the back seats in, gotta keep them nice tho in case I trade it one day lol

Oh, so I can go to an upholstery shop and have them replicate the zip on carpet with a tougher fabric
Yeah that's what I mean by the mgv will come with it, the whole thing will be a mess, specially seeing the foam etc..

Someone needs to integrate the mats for the back of the seat with a durable/comfortable seat cover.
IAG Velcro mats work well, if another solution is not to your liking. I’ve had them in for over a year and never think about the carpet.
It’s moronic that Ford put carpet on the back of these seats in rigs with essentially waterproof seats and floors.

The Mabett covers cover up the back well with Vinyl/whatever it is they are made out of. But it's not the same thing as the velcro-on back seat protector.

I really like the Mabett seat back covers. Good Plan B, IMO.

Carpet backing is part of the seat upholstery itself. An upholstery shop could easily replace the carpet with a different material. The cover would need to be completely removed from the seat to facilitate this.

For the cost, it's probably easier to just put on something like the Mabett seat backs. I have these and they are super sticky, very durable and the design is appealing.
