Capable bumper D-ring paint

1. Pop off the plastic surrounds around the D-rings. Unclip sensors
2. Remove 3 bolts on either side ( driver & passenger ) unclip foglights
3. Lift bumper up a little and slide off towards you.
4. Flip bumper on its face, remove 1 bolt each side holding the shackle mount to the bumper.

How do I pop off the plastic trim around the D rings? Mine seems very tight and I’m very nervous about breaking something. I assume they’re just push in type connectors, but I want to be sure. Thanks

I actually just did this 30 minutes ago, hammered out the pins while still on vehicle. Just have to take the plastic popoff covers off first. Painting them now. Takes a couple good hits, but once the pin starts it is easy.

Do yourself a favor when you put the plates back on leave off the stupid screws behind them and when you remove the bumper again it won't be as heavy cause you will be able to take the tow plate off prior to removing the actual bumper making it lighter and able remove easier. Those screws are a nuisance and only there for lining the plate to the bumper, if you can't do that without the screws you shouldn't be taking off the bumper in the first place -
