You have a reason to be pissed for sure; think we all share with you the sour taste. As someone who ordered in July 2020 and only took delivery this Feb, I know the emotions that come with the long wait. I was lucky that my rig arrived as ordered minus tow which I removed and kinda regret now.WOW! There sure are a lot of opinions on here. Also getting perspective from outside the situation is good. Especially from people who actually own a Bronco.
I get the reasoning behind letting go of the i want my sasquatch package mentality and i won't win against a big dealership, but it still really pisses me off to be treated like shit after waiting so long.
Yesterday Found out Phil Long Ford isn't honoring any price protection for me
My original build came in at $56840.00 the price now is $58590.00 without the sasquatch package or the modular bumper.
A Bronco in the holding pen which is 100% like the build I ordered, but say sold on the windshield has a sticker price of $67810.00.
Oh, and every Bronco except 2 had the sasquatch package on it.
ill see what happens tomorrow when i go back....... calm and friendly like
As others, I’ll parrot this to you: Don’t let these big dealerships totally ruin your experience with the Bronco. SAS is good and all, but a Badlands overall, even without SAS is a great off-roader. Now, I’ll be honest, being able to get my own 35’ tires would be a good way to go. You can pick up someone’s take offs, or get your own cool wheels and whatever tires you want. Sucks to not roll that into the payment of your Bronco, so it’s not a solution, just an option.
That dealership is like many in hot areas like Colorado or Cali; they know some sap will walk in after you, steal your rig, and they’re off into the sunset.
Losing price protection sucks, but it looks like only a couple grand, so not terrible. PP for me was close to $4K; go figure??!!
Think you should get it, join the club, then go out and run some trails and fall in love with your Bronco as I did along with many others here encouraging you to get YOUR truck.
Cheers to you, whatever you decide.
