Wondering if anyone has experience using this product to solve issues related to swapping Halogen tail lights for LEDs?

https://www.4dtech.com/bronco-tail-light-conversion-programmer/

I have a set of AlphaRex tail lights that are currently causing fast flash/flicker issues. Reading other threads it seems that no one has figured out how to solve the issue using Forcan, but maybe this 4D Tech Programmer is a solution?

Appreciate any thoughts.

Looks interesting, but I know nothing about it. Wonder if it just fixes the flicker. Or does is magically get the turn signal to be amber?

I went with the AIGMUX (raptor looking tails), and I notice that when my signal is on and I hit the brakes, there is a delay in the turn signal then it starts up again. I'd be curious as to how this thing works. Definitely wouldn't want to keep it plugged in 24/7 either (if that's the case). Not seeing a ton of info on that site.

Edit: and to add on to this, if it says the "necessary programming" to go from halogen to led, it makes it sound like it should be a simple FORSCAN fix that I haven't seen posted yet, though I know many of dove into that.

I reached out to them for more information on the specific changes the device makes. Since you just plug it in for a few seconds and take it out it does seem like the changes its making could be done in FORSCAN.

Found this thing on stickerfab looks like it just changes forscan stuff without needing the knowledge on how to do it.

Yeah but what does it change? Because people on this forum have been tweaking FORSCAN for a long time to try and get the LED taillights to work like they should without much luck.

So my question still stands, what does it fix? For $99 I'd hope it gets you the amber turn signal and no flicker. I just don't know how it would do that.

I actually had 4D tech make these. Essentially it should make any vehicle like a halogen equipped Bronco. It will ignore the extra wire in the tails that is present with LED models.

So as long as the tails you buy work fine with vehicles that have halogen tail lights, it should work fine after using this on an originally equipped LED tail vehicle.

But the question still remains, WHAT does it fix?

Does a tail with an amber turn signal work as an amber turn signal? Or is it still red? Nothing or noone has stated what it fixes. Just the flickering?

The tail lights I got have amber turn signals and I had to run a wire between the 2 lights and the 3rd brake light. So they flash amber.

I think you have the wrong description on your product page https://www.stickerfab.com/products...l-light-modifier-2021-2023-bronco-w-led-tails

if I could return this id be willing to try it on the morimoto lights

It performs the exact same actions you would do via Forscan to flash a vehicle with led tails to use Oracle taillights. If Forscan doesn't work, this would not either.

I emailed 4dtech earlier today and received a very quick response. You may wish to reach out to them on their site with any questions. Since they offer these individually in which each perform a different function (i.e. tail lights, bambi mode, double honk) I questioned if they could have one which performs more than one function. Paying a hundred bucks for each function is pretty expensive. They responded that they don't combine programmers but if you purchase more than one it's 20% off.

Thanks I must have overwritten it on accident. Unfortunately once these associate to a vehicle they are useless to anyone else.

If Forscan didn't yield the results you needed, this will not either.
pretty sure they are easy to flash and reset to resell, and the return policy is so that people don't apply the programming they want and claim it doesn't work and return it. I get it, but $100 is just too expensive for something that may or may not work in my case.

The question is about this product:

https://www.4dtech.com/bronco-tail-...qeauK31ev1vtfK-7yXwq_CbsGPd55G_2jvvf4931jlXGE

Will it make aftermarket (AlphaRex) LED tail lights not fast flash/flicker on a bronco originally equipped with halogen tail lights?
