Bro I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you will be old some day and its a lot sooner than you think. No amount of arrogance or cockiness will change that, unless you end up killing yourself driving like an idiot.
Ummm, okay.....not sure where you saw arrogance or cockiness.....me getting old and possibly also being a shitty driver doesn't change what I said, there's a lot of old people who shouldn't be driving and there's a lot of young people that shouldn't be driving. I personally think old people should be retested periodically to ensure they're fit to drive, myself included when I get old.

An old lady ran into my mothers salon. She went forward into the building, then backward across the parking lot, over a curb. Then forward into the building again.
That's not so much stupidity as outright incapacity to drive - an inability to process what's going on and respond appropriately and quickly. Fortunately our respective families were able to stop my elderly father and FIL from driving before it was too late, because they were going in that same direction.
Sorry -- I overreacted. Sure there is a point when an older person shouldn't be driving, but who causes the most accidents? Here is a big hint, who pays the highest insurance rates? Why do rental cars have a minimum age limit and not a maximum age limit? If its about safety, only old and married people should be allowed on the road.
I don't disagree, but the insurance rates are based on statistics.
Statistics are only useful if the data used is accurate. One day we will have an awakening that what has long been presented by Insurance companies and accepted as established fact has never been based on any real comprehensive data but assumptions. There is little reason for Insurance Companies to be accurate as their profits are guaranteed by the state.
