I have a 2022 Bronco SAS Outer Banks with a totally blank infotainment screen (only 17k miles). The service team at the local Ford dealership is telling me they have done everything possible that Ford corporate has instructed them to do, but it has not resolve the problem. They have exhausted all options with reprogramming after multiple tries and there are no software updates pending.

The screen has been totally blank for almost 80 days now (went out Aug 5). I was initially told to just wait for an over the air software update in October, but that didn't do anything. The service team is saying the APIM must be replaced, but Ford won’t approve. I'm at a standstill. What options do I have?

Kinda the nightmare scenario with these electronics. Is Ford saying they won't approve a replacement, or are they dragging it out for some reason?

Them claiming Ford won’t approve the APIM replacement doesn’t make any sense.
There’s no prior approval on an APIM, they should just replace it if their testing leads to a faulty APIM.
May be time to bring it to a different dealer because they don’t seem to know what they’re doing.

Agreed. Very common on these rascals.

Still no resolution on this and the dealership is telling me they are waiting on Ford to approve the APIM replacement.

It's been 98 days and counting since my screen went totally blank. Two different dealerships both say the problem is the APIM, but Ford engineering is dragging their feet to approve the replacement order (it is under warranty). I've never experienced this level of insanity and total lack of support. You can't speak to anyone at Ford aside from front line call center reps who are just messengers.

Afternoon Ford,
I have this same Problem on my 2023 Ford Bronco with 42,000 miles; with an 8" Screen. Today, November 17th, 2025, Queen City Ford in Cincinnati notified me that the APIM needs to be replaced and my warranty and extended warranty are both expired. Cost to replace: $1600
