Hey Braptor community. Quick question here as I get out in front of a warranty claim. I’m trying to collect data so the dealership doesn’t blame me for the issue.
I found a loosely attached trim piece on my rear drivers side bumper where the plastic (and fragile) retention clips appear broken due to incorrect fitment.

Anyone else have this? Not super noticeable unless you see it from the right angle. Guess it is why it took me a few months to notice. I live in a mountain town with frequent snow so I’m not typically hand washing until Spring. I have about 2k miles and purchased back in November so it’s fairly new. Pic attached..

I don't have that bumper so I don't know - is it a broken plastic weld or a missing fender clip or something? Looks like it might be easily repaired.

You could try getting a dealer to warranty it, but I think they are just gonna push back and say it's more likely you damaged it backing into a snow drift...

Look at how it attaches. If it’s a clip bring it to the parts counter. Will only cost you a few bucks and 5 min of your time.

It’s a broken clip for sure but the clips are integrated into the trim piece so not repairable by replacing the clip. I definitely did not hit anything, it’s obvious from looking at it that the clips were broken during installation as they were flattened against the bumper. Anyway, a part that would fail after a short period of normal driving would seem to fall in the bumper to bumper warranty claim scenario no?

I can see that. I spent 15 min underneath my raptor and found missing bolts and parts installed correctly. Crazy.

It looks like you have scuffs and cracks around the park sensor.

Honestly looks like someone bumped you.

Nope, it’s salt. I live in a mountain town. I checked it for damage and would obviously not waste my time (or yours) without a strong belief it was a defect.

Make sure it’s super clean and take some more photos to document for when you start working the process.

I mean, it doesn't cost you anything to try, other than some time. So worth a shot to try to claim it I guess, and decent chance that a ~good~ dealer would just fix it for you out of good will even if they don't warranty the part. Good luck
