I know this is an old thread but I’m bumping it to see if anyone has found a resolution yet? Not sure we’re all talking about the same thing but the similarities I’m experiencing are:
1. Thumping, knocking sound seemingly coming from under the shifter area
2. Just above idle around 900 RPM
3...
Nope, it’s salt. I live in a mountain town. I checked it for damage and would obviously not waste my time (or yours) without a strong belief it was a defect.
It’s a broken clip for sure but the clips are integrated into the trim piece so not repairable by replacing the clip. I definitely did not hit anything, it’s obvious from looking at it that the clips were broken during installation as they were flattened against the bumper. Anyway, a part that...
Hey Braptor community. Quick question here as I get out in front of a warranty claim. I’m trying to collect data so the dealership doesn’t blame me for the issue.
I found a loosely attached trim piece on my rear drivers side bumper where the plastic (and fragile) retention clips appear broken...
100% agree. I do the same to avoid the buzzy downshifts. Even going up steep inclines it holds 10th gear in cruise. Very strange trans / pedal program.
Yes, was testing boost levels yesterday and there's basically no boost unless you really dip into the throttle. I maxed out around 22PSI at 5k RPM roughly. So boost seems to be programmed to come on relatively late. I get that it's dependent on the exhaust gasses spooling the compressor but...
Thanks Gents - seems like this is a trait of the Braptor that is deliberate. Just not sure why Ford thinks this is the best way to go. I too use the paddle shifters to force an up-shift but running all the time in manual is tedious for me. I love three pedals but for some reason not as enthused...
Sounds exactly like mine. Light pedal input, virtually all acceleration has ceased, yet it hangs there forever just making noise. I also started using manual mode and it feels like a different beast. So much better but not a fix. Thanks for validating. I see this as a major issue.
Intro:
Good morning folks. I've been on vehicle forums for decades but new to the Bronco world. Converting from a 2021 Jeep JLUR Diesel that was fully tuned and built out. I have to say that the Bronco seems to be generations better than the Jeep dynamically. Overall. I'm impressed with it but...
Related to the Alpha Rex performance, can you confirm that the auto bright feature works as factory? Pretty sure the tech needed to activate that is not in the headlight itself but just want to be sure there's no incompatibility.
