Oh man. "My Ford Bronco Failed Me" is a title meant to draw clicks. Is "yes I know... big tires and big lift, too much travel. Working on some changes." referring to changes you made? Why does YouTube draw people into specious, flimsy claims?

Edit: Enough has been said about the title. Let’s move on.

I have a 5 inch RC lift. I'm not 100% sure where it's happening yet. There's is a diff drop with that lift and a taller A arm that corrects the angles somewhat.

I'm thinking it might over extend when I have the swaybar at full flex, but not enough to bind, just enough to wear down. Because when it broke, there was nothing too extreme. I have the old shaft, will take it apart this week and look for wear patterns.

Truly sorry to the OP but seems these days all the make the headlines here are broken, f'ed up or failed OEM parts on Broncos. At the same time, nothing gives YouTuber's clicks like these things.......justified or not.

You gotta have drama, changes and proclamations otherwise people tune out...... The mantra of Youtube.

I guess the only question is.......how many years of "My Jeep Broke, Failed me, Crap OEM parts, etc, etc, etc" videos have been out before the last three years of Bronco's? WE NEED to make more of these videos otherwise Jeep is WAY ahead of us!! šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

Sorry, I'll pick a boring title next time. Unfortunately that's the way of YouTube. I enjoy making videos and I want to keep doing it, so I need to play the game.

As for the changes, I'm looking into what I can do to prevent it, and would welcome a discussion. I'll be putting it up on a hoist tomorrow to check the droop angles. Then either some cv shaft spacers behind the stub shaft to push it in a bit more to realign the cage, RCV Axles, and maybe putting coil over struts and taking the spacers and bilstein out.

Couldn't just say what happened: Broke an axle snow wheeling! Or, My 5 Inch Lift Snapped an Axle... Again! Car Crash Culture wins again.

I guess there isn't some fake reaction shot edited onto one side. So there's that.

I don't want to overplay it, it's not like this is the worst, but it's really tiresome seeing this all over YT with the constant plays to gawker and negative affinity groups. I've liked some of your other videos, but as a principle I don't interact with these anymore. Even MORR grinds me when they do this crap.

Edit: Enough has been said about the title. Let’s move on.

That's what happens when you modify a vehicle way past the engineered parameters. I highly modified my Jeep that added probably almost a 1000 pounds, then we wonder why things break.
I'm keeping my Bronco as light as possible this time and no lift, I'm older now and don't do the crazy wheelin I did when I was younger.
You might want to consult with the fun haver folks they seem to have built a Bronco that can take an extreme amount of abuse.
See KOH. Good luck.

You're right. Gotta have a cool title. Here's my version. 😁

Oh Snap! I broke another axle! More Ford Bronco Problems?

[Visual Description of thumbnail]
Background photo of Bronco stuck in the snow with a cutout of VW guy saying "Oh Snap!" in the corner overlayed with you doing an impression Macaulay Culkin from Home Alone. Bonus points of wife or kids looking sad in the background.

All joking aside. I always enjoy your videos. (y)

Man, out of respect for forum members I flat out said what happens in the video in my first sentence. "Well.... had to get towed out by a Jeep again.... Broke my right hand CV shaft Snow Wheeling again...."

I do get where you are coming from. But YouTube is Fn hard now and you gotta play the game if you want to get noticed. Anyways, last comment on my tittle.

I think you would actually enjoy my intro where I poke fun of the overdramatic Drone footage.

Making a video tearing things up and abusing them in the cold and snow, looks like fun to me!! 🄶

I’m disappointed with the Bronco, what you did should not have broken the CV. Maybe the combination of the lift with regular wheeling is just too much wear on the CV. Please post the damage after you tear it apart, I know I’m very curious to see the wear and damage.
