I what way? Not a fan of SAS wheels. Just my opinion.
I test drove a SAS outter banks and was actually shocked at how many rocks flew up in the tire wells while I was driving on the highway. It was annoying af.

The stock tires are actually pretty decent. They are going to get better MPG then the other tires and is my guess the real reason why ford used them as they are 10lb liter then anything else sold on tirerack on that size. Something like wildpeaks are 20lb heavier per wheel. For the gearing of the SAS and the wheel/ tire package I feel its worth it. You also get a 2" spacer stock over the Hoss 2.0 shocks on the BL trim. Replacing the Ko2 with some different size tire alone would be around 15-2k. Ordering with SAs if you hate the stock wheels and tires selling them and swappng them would get you a better ROI. The 4.7 gears are like 2500 also not including install for that alone if you wanted the bigger gears. But if you dont want to go bigger than 33" and dont like the look it makes no sense. The BL NON sas has more articulation then a SAS because it doesnt have the spacers. SAS should also hold value better for resale cause its harder to get at the momoent. At the off rodeo a stock BL is a option for driving so if it wasnt capable they wouldnt have one. They dont go over stuff as easily as the SAS versions but its still very capable stock. If you dont think its worth it then dont get it.
First off, I have no issues with the SAS at all if that is what someone wants great go for it. I didn't get one. I am a day 1 hour reservation holder who dumped my 2 door wildtrak build to actually get built, not lose a huge amount of PP and an incremental 2500 to dump SAS and Lux. When that offer came about, I thought about what to do-keep my order or drop down to a non sas badlands. The more I thought about it, the more sense it made to start with the Non Sas badlands-FOR ME. Shockingly actually got scheduled two weeks after I made the changes.

I have no issues with the SAS package if that is what someone wants to buy then great it is turn key. In my situation, the steering rack, tie rods and fox shocks were the real loss-once those were gone, my choice to go non sas was really easy for the following reasons.

To me, I don't like the wheels-they are heavy 36.5 lbs (aftermarket has a ton of choices between 23-28) and I wouldn't chose their looks over the aftermarket choices. I don't like the tires. Helped a friend change his Goodyear with less than 1000 miles on it when it blew out on some pretty tame terrain (could have been a freak a bad tire, etc). If people like them than that is great For me, that experience and their weight as you pointed out is concerning. All the competition are heavier and having witnessed a blow out, here I am ok with a bit more heft and the wheel savings opens up a lot of options on tires. Totally right on the weight of the Falkens. Wouldn't be my top choice but some people absolutely love these tires both here in the Bronco community and the Raptor community. I hear a lot of feedback about how they last, are great in the snow and also the rain. Based on what I am seeing take offs are netting about 1k so will recoup something.

SAS over lower trims is 2 inches I believe but over non sas is like .43 or .47 inches and could be solved with a perch collar or other minor tweak as the BL sas and non sas shocks are nearly identical. I will be running 35s so I will be fine with no tweaks. Will drive it for a while and if I want to make suspension upgrades, I will.

Gearing will be fine with a 2.7 auto. I have driven this set up. no concerns here.

Not planning on selling so not concerned about resale value.

Again for me, this was an easy choice once Ford led me to it..... YMMV and either way you will be getting a Bronco!

I don't believe the stock SAS tires are mud terrain tires. I think the MT on them stands for something else.
Really it's all semantics. They either have siping in the tread blocks or not.
Siping=Good traction in light snow/ice
No Siping=Awful traction in light snow/ice

Anecdotal observations aside, any tire without siping will have MUCH worse stopping distance and skipad roadholding on light snow/ice than any tire with siping.

SAS is definitely a ripoff on the BL. Nonetheless, I paid ifor it and don’t regret it. I’m not gonna do a lot of mods. Maybe a winch and maybe tie rod upgrades.
Goodyear tires have been ok in sand and mountain passes (Imogene) but I’ll eventually replace with tires with sturdier sidewalls.
The wheels look fine to me, even if they are on the heavy side.
I doubt the SAS BL is much more capable than the stock BL, but to each his own.

I'm surprised we haven't seen more threads about folks with Sasquatch ending up in the ditch with light snow/ice on the road. MT tires have AWFUL traction in light snow/ice. They are fine in deep snow, but that's not typically what you'd find on the road. Around here, the first time it snows every year, the ditches are littered with 4x4s driven by folks that didn't realize MT tires might as well be drag slicks on a thin layer of snow/ice.

I didn't opt for Sasquatch on my 7mt Badlands mostly because it's the worst value on that transmission+trim combination vs. any other, but the tires being a huge downgrade from the 'severe snow service-rated' KO2s was the final nail in the coffin.
Drive off the road in a ditch???? Are you an awful driver???? My tires have been sick in the snow… you must be a Canal St. type of driver 🤣😂

No one can deny the fact that non sas looks awful compared to SAS .. I see people posting “only for .5 inches…” etc. Like w your girl, I guess .5 inch is a significant difference 🤷‍♂️ because non-sas can’t come close to the look of SAS

By the way, I think Sasquatch is very cool and many probably know how to use it better than I do. I was just meaning to say I ASSUMED I had to have Sas to be satisfied with our BL - which I had never seen stock in person, but happily for me the standard pkg was very satisfying both proportional styling wise and capability. I think it’s awesome Ford offers it on all trims and I think anything besides a BL I would 100% want it.

No one can deny the fact that non sas looks awful compared to SAS .. I see people posting “only for .5 inches…” etc. Like w your girl, I guess .5 inch is a significant difference 🤷‍♂️ because non-sas can’t come close to the look of SAS

Just here to say we should make official autocorrect for B6G. I’d like to submit we use the term wheels not rims. What’s a rim? I mean seriously.
And we also don't say car when talking about a Bronco.

Main reason why SAS is not an option for me, BL and any other trim, is that crash bars have been removed
My kids will drive it too, and I couldn't process thought that I would have a car with less safety just to look cooler with huge SAS wheels
And, non SAS BL has front locker + SB disconnect, can pretty much do 99% as SAS version, so standard BL it is for me
As soon as order bank is open, ordering BL with all sins, tow, Lux... And couldn't care less if it takes 2 yrs for delivery, enjoying my OBX in the meantime :)
Actually they are crash bar extensions the sas is just as safe as non sas. You really think the government or insurance companies would allow it otherwise.

it’s pretty clear I think - just that these slight increases people mention make a huge difference

I have then on my 4R, they work great. No issues in rain, snow or ice.
I run the SL rated at 32 psi on the 4R, maybe that's the difference.
I've been wondering the same thing about the load ratings.
Mine are the C rated 35 x 11.5 - 17.
I'm down to 30 cold and it helps, but they're still lousy. Afraid to go any lower.
Tire charts say I should be at 32.
