Yes, I took mine off for the first time yesterday and they all came off extremely easy. Had some kind of yellow loctite on it but wasn't an issue. I broke them loose by hand with my 3/8 ratchet then used my impact to take them all the way off and put them back on.

I have no complaints with SAS.

Wait, what, your badging and profile say Badlands but your wheels and grill are Wildtrak, did you change them out?

yes, I plasti-dipped the trim rings gloss black and swapped the grille and rear bronco emblem for black. Looks much better

No one can deny the fact that non sas looks awful compared to SAS .. I see people posting “only for .5 inches…” etc. Like w your girl, I guess .5 inch is a significant difference 🤷‍♂️ because non-sas can’t come close to the look of SAS
That's pretty easy to deny, actually.

Yeah, used a cordless impact. Came right off. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Not sure why it's funny @NatureMan I tried hand tools but nearly galled two bolts in the process. Took to the cordless impact for the breakaway torque and then removed the bolt by hand once it was loose. Worked quite well on all of the rings. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm surprised we haven't seen more threads about folks with Sasquatch ending up in the ditch with light snow/ice on the road. MT tires have AWFUL traction in light snow/ice. They are fine in deep snow, but that's not typically what you'd find on the road. Around here, the first time it snows every year, the ditches are littered with 4x4s driven by folks that didn't realize MT tires might as well be drag slicks on a thin layer of snow/ice.

I didn't opt for Sasquatch on my 7mt Badlands mostly because it's the worst value on that transmission+trim combination vs. any other, but the tires being a huge downgrade from the 'severe snow service-rated' KO2s was the final nail in the coffin.
MT isn't what you think it is in this case.

I'll deny it. Sasquatch wheels are ugly AF.
Next.

for another perspective, when i attended off-roadeo, heard a lot less scraping on the squatched vehicles vs the non-squatched vehicles of the same trim.

My 2D BL SAS manual was supposedly built last week. So yeah, I was one that got ripped off and paid the $4k with a manual. But I did it for a reason that I’ve yet to read in one of these threads (tunagates maybe implied earlier). My reason was resale, and to some extent rarity.

My 2D will not be a daily driver. I’m thinking around 1k miles a year. It will see some sand trails but never salted roads, etc. And mostly garage kept. For all the reasons people think it’s a dumb combination to buy, is the exact reason that it will be harder to find 20 years from now.

That is why I literally checked every option except Auto and leather. I’m even paying the up-charge for the “Ford” soft top, just so that it ends up on my window sticker as “original.”

it’s pretty clear I think - just that these slight increases people mention make a huge difference

Yes, but the BL is the good looking even with its standard set up. Does it look better with SAS? A little bit maybe, but I think BB, BD, and OBX definitely look 100% better with SAS.
