I purchased the set from Shock Surplus and they installed the spring/shocks prior to shipping. For a stock SAS suspension and wanting to retain as close to the same height and leveling out, they set the rears on the 1st setting, and the fronts on the 3rd. Pretty much came out level with about maybe a 1/2 - 1" increase in total. Super happy as many have indicated on the ride quality and with the Nitto Recons it helps with softening up the ride where needed!!!!

Several questions

Are the Recons 3 peak rated?

315/70r17 non LT?

Is that an optical illusion or is the rear squatting in the side profile?

I think the tires are LT E load so that’s why they are so stiff. Don’t think they are 3 peak rated.

must be the pic or the angle I took the shot at, but it’s pretty level! The folks at surplus shocks recommended this setting to get it as close the stock SAS but leveling out.

Did you install them yourself? If so any issues and how long did it take? I have read that the bolts/nuts- especially the rear are extremely tight and hard to break.

It's so much easier to get the shock/struts pre-assembled with the springs rather than get the spring compressor and have to disassemble and re-assemble. I have done a few- both ways.

LOOKS REALLY GOOD. I HAVE A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS, WAS YOUR BRONCO A SAS TO BEGIN WITH?
IS THE RIDE QUALITY ON THE ROAD BETTER THAT STOCK, AND THE LAST QUESTION IS HOW QUITE ARE THE NITTO'S ON THE ROAD?
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME MERRY CHRISTMAS

I believe that they are 3 peak rated.

I have the Ridge Grappler, which would be considered a little more aggressive than the Recon Grappler and the Ridge Grappler are 3 peak rated.
I've had them on for over a year and have driven in about 8 inches of snow with zero issues. They have great traction in the snow.
On the road, they are quieter than the stock GY for sure. Pretty good traction in the wet as well on road.
Off-road is really good until you get into the really muddy stuff.

Overall, I'm super pleased with them and not looking to make a change anytime soon.

I installed these on my Badlands, they are a great improvement in my opinion. I think I went 3rd clip in the front and 4th clip in the rear.

Yes - I did the install and that’s why I paid to get them pre assembled - figured that’s that most painless way to do it yourself. The bolts weren’t too bad, but I have a 4 post lift and air tools so I never really noticed if they were super tight or not. All came off no problem! Took me a better part of a day as the fronts took twice as long as the rears for me.

Yes it was a SAS to begin with - just looking for a better ride - not looking to put bigger tires or jacking it up higher! Ride is definitely smoother and less jerky both going over little bumps or big ones. More what I was looking for! Nittos are great. I had OEM, then went to KO2 and couldn’t get them balanced right - then to the Recons . Easily the quietest and smoothest ride ( balance is perfect)

Howdy. I am thinking of getting the 6112s for my Badlands. Can you post pic also did you stay with the stock 35s? Also how much height did you gain in front and rear from stock?

In my first post there are pics of what it looks like post install with 35s. My goal was to keep it as close to stock SAS height, so the rear is at the lowest setting ( about a .5” lift) so my default raised the front about 1.5 to make it the same height and get rid of factory rake ( setting 3 I think). Hopefully that makes sense - if you are trying to get real height to get 37s in there I’m not sure what setting you would need but assume there is plenty of left you could get with raising the circlip setting!

Gotcha must of missed them. I’m just looking at sticking with 35s. Did you have to get new UCAs? Any problems with CV bind?

I threw the stock ones on my Wrangler and bought BFG KM3'S 35"x12.5" for my Bronco. I'd have to double check the circlip placement but I gained a good 3" of lift. I also changed the upper control arms.
