Of the three grills, that six slot on the BB is by far my least favorite. The one from the Black Diamond/Base is truest to the original. But I think the Badlands/Wildtrak is the one designers had in mind for the new Bronco from day one.
I agree with this 100%. I love the original Bronco grille and like how the Base and Black Diamond resemble the original grille. it's either Base or Black Diamond for me. I did reserve a Black Diamond though.

As someone with young kids I can't wait for MGV seats. My kids put crayon and God knows what drink on my current seats

You get an extra GOAT mode on Black Diamond along with rubberized flooring with drains and MGV seats. However, on the Big Bend you can get signature lights and tube steps. Dilemma.

That's the 2 big reasons I'm leaning heavily to the BB over BD. I know I can probably do both later or aftermarket. The extra GOAT mode is nice but it's the MGV I'm going to miss most. Yup... dilemma.

On the BB you do have the option of the signature lights - but only if you get the Mid Package do you get the tube steps as part of it. I want both the signature lights and the tube steps - but do not want the Mid Package (because it then makes me give up the 7-speed manual and take the auto). So I am wondering if the tube steps will be a dealer-installed Ford accessory item.

Seems you lose the Advanced 4X4 TC in addition to the MGV and washout.

Easy decision for me. MGV > Signature headlights. One I will sit on and use everyday and the other is for people to look at. No improvement in function that I am aware of over standard LED on BD.

The difference for me is in how I would spend my money after I buy the Bronco.
Black Diamond - fog lights, wheels and tires.
Big Bend - seat covers and tires.

Then when I look at the cost of wheels and 33” tires on the BD, I figure I may just Squatch it instead. I’d be getting a better axle, better suspension, front locker along with the wheels and tires, all under factory warranty.

THEN I realize I could get the BADLANDS with mid package and 7spd for cheaper than a ‘squatched BD. My original goal of 33” tires, nice wheels, the good headlights and a good grill, and a better axle, suspension, front lockers, sbd (ok, but not necessary) nice MGV and upgraded instrument panel. It’s better than either with my planned upgrades.

I would probably stay with the standard bumper and rock rails on BB because aftermarket will have so many more options to choose from.
Which is why the Washout Interior could've been an option on Big Bend instead of a whole trim level. Probably won't be hard to offload OEM steel, but I'm paying a lot of money for stuff I want to change.

Or you get the tube steps the traditional way. Aftermarket. Steps should never enter into a buying decision. Buy the Bronco you want, and check out available steps when it gets home.

It’s probably been stated, I didn’t read through all 17 pages, but as I understand it, the only way to get Advanced 4x4 on BB is to squatch it. Also, I could be wrong, but I think you will still end up with a plastic rear bumper on BB even after upgrading the front bumper to steel. That being said, I do really like BB and BD and the decision probably boils down to personal preference on grey grill and wheels vs black grill and wheels and cloth vs MGV and washout.

You chose to add a grand to BD for wheels which are entirely unnecessary. BD has steelies intentionally for it's off road purposes, you don't need to tart it up like the Big Bend.

This assumes that sandstone interior of BB isn't also a no-go compared to the more cohesive BD interior.

BD all day long for me I prefer the BD grill, love the stock steelies (preferably with 33's), way prefer MV and interior. BB just doesn't add up but is probably an ok configuration if you're looking for a base+.

Can anyone confirm that the MGV washout interior has carpet on the back of the rear seats? I have seen this in pics and I will be disappointed if there is ANY carpet in this BD build!
