Just so we are super clear - I am a VERY VERY big sceptic when it comes to companies making BIG claims. I know that a lot of us here are always searching for all of the above......but with a special emphasis on MPG. Since I slapped on my Toyo Open Country M/Ts.....talk about a decrease in mpg.....like 13.5-13.8 mpg/at best 220 miles to a full tank. Just terrible. Always envious of others here getting 20mpg or more and 300+ miles to a tank (2.7 engine comparisons).
I tried everything within reason - colder plugs, FORD ProCal Tune, lighter foot on the gas, even disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU. Nothing. I gave up. THEN......I saw a video about Valvoline "Restore & Protect" engine oil by The Motor Oil Geek -
There were no immediate results. But after about 1,000 miles I noticed subtle differences in throttle response. Then maybe 2,000 in it literally felt more powerful and gradually increased. NO, nothing mind boggling.....but enough to make me wonder "WTF WAS GOING ON???" Then the icing on the cake is right before 2,500K my MPG started getting better!!!!....I'm now at 15.3-15.7 mpg and my most recent tank netted me 270 miles (mostly city driving). Again, its not crazy but I'll take it any day!!!! It feels like the engine "woke up" and is healthier......I told some people about this and 3 of them completely agreed with me - even the guy at Auto Zone (where I DID NOT buy the oil from).
I'm sure a lot of you will call BS......and I REALLY wanted to not believe it. But try it on your next oil change. You have nothing to lose.
If I am right and for once an oil company created something this special - we hey, better for you!!!!!
* and no, no no.....I am not sponsored by them, nor was I paid to write this....etc....etc. If you look up most of my posts here I'm analytical and logical.
