For one with the bump is aftermarket branded Ford 50%.higher price with 3yr warranty. I use the Ford one it's great. Also got the fender caps to match. Didn't wanna spend a few K on PPF.
Also got the rocker panel plastic covers as well as the mud flaps.

I had mine installed when I tinted my windows...they said it was pretty straight forward. There is a video on YouTube posted by Blano Bronco.

How does the wire run… through the hood?

All the wires are hidden they go under the lip of the hood and then through it. Here is the video:

Does it actually help with the bugs on the windshield? And have you noticed any whistling sounds? That was one negative I rrmead about the oem deflector.

Yes it helps with the bugs and I haven't had any whistling sounds, flutters or vibrations with it.

UPDATE: OEM INSTALLED HOOD BUG ROCK DEFLECTOR UPDATE
(Sharing to this thread)
- 3 windshields for the first 38K Miles.
- Installed the OEM hood deflector at 38K Miles
- Now 125K Miles and have not had a crack since.
Some rock dings but nothing fatal. Drive to extreme locations with high highway miles in between.
I am not sure if it is a magic bullet, but it seems to disrupt rock and debris airflow enough to deliver a glancing blow, rather than a windshield terminating impact
Most definitely less bug splatter. Only the fat ones make to their rapture.

I lost my first windshield the same week I installed the Ford Aeroskin 2 deflector. But it was a huge rock right off the back of a dump truck, so I don't know that there was any saving that one.
Been ok since - a lot of glancing blows that I was sure broke something, but no chips or cracks. Lots of dings on the A-pillars and paint around the windshield though. It isn't the sexiest thing though, I freely admit.
Can definitely tell a shift in the bug dispersion pattern - everything gets shifted to the top 1/2 of the windshield.
I didn't notice any change in wind noise or any whistling. Plastic has aged as well as the rest of the plastic on the rig at any rate.
As far as non-Ford brand ones - not too familiar with any others. The Aeroskin is just a rebranded Husky/Lund, but you can burn Ford Points on it, and it qualifies for the perpetual 15-20% discount they run for online purchases.
