Actually you can make them legal for the road again. Salvage title does not have to be off-road/farm/ranch only.
Yep, I've repaired and retitled 3 salvage cars. Resale value is trash but for something you're going to keep for a long time to use yourself it makes sense.

When we got the word of being forced to drop stuff to get a build date I was contemplating either making my own squatch or just walking away all together and taking my money, buying a salvage and building from there. When I saw what @Bikeric did it got me thinking again.

Then I got a build week .........3/6 and it hasn't got bumped yet 🤞

Hey @OX1 if your planning the V-8 swap here are some guys that are doing it with a Coyote. 😁

This is the episode that they are "fitting" it in there. Kinda gives you a preview of how "easily" it fits and what you might be up against. Personally, I think Godzilla is a much better fit for the Bronc. Those Coyote's are wiiiiiide up top. Plus the Bronc needs some good old fashioned torque. ;)

Rock on brother!!!!

Both of those examples you posted are Badlands with 4.7 gearing. I paid $32k for my Salvage auction Badlands with all airbags intact. The red one will probably sell in the $24-28k range. The cactus grey one will be over $30k.
Appreciate the reply. $24K wouldn't be horrible, but If one could be had @ $30-32, more intact, probably worth the extra money. I'm in no major rush, will just keep an eye out.

Yes, have been following that build. Coyote is really no cheaper than a Godzilla, and as I've said before, the Godz will be supported and probably sold, even after every other IC is banned.

Yes I know , but it takes a lot more cash to get them back to street then it does to make it a total trail monster. A lot more fun as well. Lol

I've purchased and rebuilt four vehicles from Copart, so one thing to keep in mind: don't forget about the fees on top of your bid. After fees, a $30k winning bid will actually cost you $33k. You also have to purchase a membership in order to bid that high, and rules vary by state where in some states you cannot bid yourself unless you are licensed. See details here: https://www.copart.com/content/us/en/licensing/licensingoverview

Of course!! On top of all that, wouldn't surprise me if jersey taxed you as income, the difference between an auction price and retail value (if not wrecked), LOL!!
