I was asked if I had to decide between my 2026 Ranger or my 2024 Bronco, and had to keep only one, which one would I choose?

Here is the Ranger:

With 405 horsepower, and it being new to me, it has the advantage.

Here is the Bronco:

It is a 2-Door with the 2.7 twin turbo and a quite rare Bronco with the Badlands Package and the LUX package. 4-Doors are most common. In 2025, this package was only available in the Stroop Edition, which with the color scheme, it looks like a candy corn with blue mold on one end (opinion).

The Bronco is definitely better for rock crawling off-road parks, which this one has proved worthy.

The Ranger is still capable off-road, but in a different environment as opposed to the Bronco when it tries to prove itself.

The Bronco handing is kinda mushy... the Ranger is more planted.
The Bronco is more fun to drive off-road, and the Ranger is better on road.
The Ranger is quicker.
The Bronco is cuter.

If I had to pick only one, I would pick the Ranger Raptor.................. but I will NEVER get rid of the Bronco!
I do love the Bronco and always look forward to driving it.

It's always going to come down to the individual driving. For me? I've never been a truck guy. I'm single, no kids. I live in a townhouse in the suburbs. I've no interest in towing or hauling crap around. I own a Mustang if I feel like getting more frisky when I drive. For me, I don't ask much of the vehicle day to day; Bronco is the easy answer.

My best friend on the other hand has a bigger house in the country. He's got grandkids. He wants to buy a trailer for camping. He hauls crap from time to time. He enjoys spirited driving. He doesn't want a huge truck because he's had problems with parking garages and full sized trucks before. While he can AFFORD to own multiple vehicles to scratch his itch, he's a one-size fits all guy. He wants one vehicle that can do it all, without introducing too many pain points. As far as general utility, RRaptor's really hard to beat and what he's looking at getting. For his use case, I think it's really the right choice. There are many vehicles that are better at anything the RRaptor does. I'm not sure there are any other vehicles that are as good as the RRaptor at as many different things as the RRaptor.

The only way I would consider the Ranger is if it was available in a two-door short bed.

Hard choice.
I have only had the Raptor for a few months... how much of the "new vehicle excitement" bias's my opinion?
I have enjoyed and got used to the thrill of the Bronco for 2 years now.....hmmmmmmm?

Ranger is better bang for the buck. But if you carry people and items and want all out of the weather. The Bronco is better. Pick ups kind of suck for travel with people and luggage.

Meh, that Ranger has 4 doors instead of 2, and far more luggage room, and keeping it out of the weather just requires a bed cover.

I prefer some items such as groceries in the AC. Bronco does offer a 4 door.

Respectfully...If having to choose between the two, it would be the Bronco 100% of the time. Rangers are like mopeds. Fun until your friends see you with one. Putting a goofy sticker on it and giving it a few more ponies doesn't make anyone forget that it's still a Ranger.

I originally wanted a Ranger but Ford would not build the one I wanted. They did install the 2.7L V-6 but, the dropped the extended cab version with the 6 ft bed. I do not want a four door Ranger. I also wanted the Tremor model. They dropped that too.

I decided to consider the Bronco for my extended wilderness adventures. The four door Bronco looked like it would work for me if I could get the Ursa Minor camper and if I scaled back a little on things I brought with me. I have the Bronco pretty much set up now but am still waiting on the camper.

I love the Bronco.
