Not yet, but I believe I will get it this month. Or at least that is the hope. I have been getting info from them.

Before I left for a deployment I dropped off my Bronco with Armadillo Designs so they could make Instagram Videos with it. But mostly so they could test out their Aluminum hard top! Well I’m finally back from my deployment and got some pictures of their mock-up on my Raptor! There were a few spots they have to adjust because of the brace the raptor has on the roof. Other than that it fits and looks great! Obviously there isn’t a window on the back, but I was able to play with one on the shop floor and it was much bigger than it looks in their pictures (so to speak). The interior sound deadening was a 1/2 inch hard foam material that seems like it’ll be good at sound deadening, but won’t hold any Velcro patches. While touring around their shop in Bellville, TX I was blown away with how much they have going on. Seems like they are going to have some super cool stuff coming to the market soon and I’m really looking forward to seeing their finished top in just a few months! If anyone has questions drop them here and I can probably answer them, I’m not sure they if they are on this forum or not. (I’m not paid or endorsed by them, just a fan of their hard top)

The fact it wasn't set up in an assembly line. The biggest manufacturing constraint is the welding and assembly. Look at that brand new equipment! Now where are the welders(the people not the machines)?

Seriously though, they said there was one final revision to the slantback before production mode. So hopefully we’ll all start seeing what you’re expecting soon.

Im waiting to see these getting delivered as well before I give them my $$. That and how the square top turns out…. However, the capability of this top is the first to REALLY want me to trade in my soft top. It’s really in a league of its own and shows a lot of ingenuity. So I’m hoping they deliver on their promises.

At least it’s not a green screen and they actually have the equipment! Their communication and updates are far better than that first top that’s still vaporware as well!

Well I have my top ordered, well ordered in Oct, and now I am justwaiting on the final countdown. Today they showed cutting for the Squareback. So now since they are talking about the Squareback more, that tells me they are ready to go with the slant.

It may have been slower, but I do feel once Armadillo gets their tops into our grubby little hands, it will not disappoint.

Oh I get it and appreciate it being looked at from that lens. I’ve been watching these guys from the start. They’ve missed several of their milestones. They were originally supposed to start shipping the slantback in Dec. This is also a different animal as far as design and they’ve been very open about issues and updates, so that earns back points. Their support for the community and hitting events to wheel that thing says a lot too.

TOR really knocked it out of the park and delivered according to their timelines as close as I’ve ever seen. But, they weren’t doing anything new and based their design off all their experience with Jeep…they had a template and process to follow.

I just want more out of a hardtop design (and way to properly store targa)… Armadillo’s semi-permanent and modular design meets my needs faaar better.

I took the plunge today and ordered the 4 door square back. The more I look at this and its uniqueness, I was more excited about it. The team has been great communicating to me with questions etc and any concerns I had. Super excited and hope to have mine early next year. The slant back will be shipped out first and hopefully soon after the square back models.

Not yet, but since this post I fell more in love with the slant back and changed my order. Hoping I'll get it sooner that way too. (I previously had the ADV ordered, but liked this one much better).

Thank you! This was an earlier prototype, after seeing how much progress they made with the final product I'm sure more people will be jumping on board when they hit the market in a few weeks. I think ADV has (rightfully) scared everyone on this forum with deadlines
