I mean, if you could place an order for a BB 4 door and get it months before your ‘real’ order came in, why wouldn’t you flip it?
So, while waiting for my 2dr WT to come in after being pushed to a MY22, I was in the market for a gap vehicle (SUV) and trying not to take a bath on it when I trade it in on the WT. After seeing what the market was charging for a 4 year old 4Runner with 50k miles on it, I figured the brand new 4dr BB Soft top was the better option financially. My dealership had an abandoned one that I picked up and will sell it to the highest bidder……even if that’s not the dealership I bought it from and have the WT ordered from. I paid a $5k ADM, when I purchased it, got some goodies thrown in worth about $1,500 and have made some improvements like 33” Toyo AT3 tires. I’m not concerned about losing money on it in a couple months, and my conscience is clear.

Team 2dr here, Wt and I have no intention on flipping just to make some cash. Probably last new vehicle I will ever purchase. IMO the only reason you're thinking of flipping it is for profit. Members on here waiting a long time for their Bronco, then getting hit adms or add ons that some will have to walk away. IMO puts you in the same category as some of the stealerships. Why not contact Granger, Chapman or SAC and work out a deal with somebody waiting and waiting and waiting.

Can't sell what you don't have :) No build date for my MY22 BL, so not even an option.

But if I did have the car.... everything (material) has a price.

Reminds me of a joke: A man in a bar asks woman if she would sleep with him for a million dollars. She quickly says "yes".

Then he asks if she would sleep with him for $50. The woman gets all insulted and says "what do you think I am, a hooker?"

The man responds "we've already established that, now we're just negotiating on the price"

If someone offered me $100k for my (non-existent) BL, it would be gone in a heartbeat. If someone offered me $55K, my answer would be no. in-between those amounts, it would depend on a lot of factors, not the least of which is how much I enjoyed my (non-existent) Bronco.

No. Buying it because I want it, not so I can make a quick buck in a shady manner.
How is this shady? You own something that someone else wants more than they want their cash or want to wait on an order. If you want the cash more than the Bronco and are willing to wait on another order, that’s a free market economy at work. Some unwritten rule that someone has to possess their Bronco for some mystical period of time before they’re allowed to sell is a bizarre concept to me. 🤷🏻

Really thinking about changing my order to a 4 dr BB now, making some cash, and reordering. I’ve waited 25 years for this, what’s another couple….

I hate that we are even considering it, but I got curious and did an online request for value and they came back with 67k on our Bronco V6 Big Bend. This is coming from a 45.5k MSRP.

Has anyone traded theirs in and put down another reservation?

Edit:
We have had this car for a week and we did not order just to resell. My wife had the Bronco Sport while waiting for a full sized Bronco.
Suckers. It says "Up To" . That is anywhere from $0 to $66,767.00. Wanna guess where you land?

And I assume, if you’ve ever sold a house……you sold it to some sad sack with a hard luck story and empty pockets for the same price you paid for it 20 years prior? I understand the sentiment, but selling your own possessions for profit, does not make you a bad human. This is just the way the world works. I have no intention of selling my 2dr Race Red WT when it shows up in a couple months…..mostly due to personal/emotional reasons. But if I did want to flip it, then I reckon I would do as I please without much consideration for what some bleeding heart do-gooders thought. I donate to charity and pay my taxes….and thank god the good old USA is still a democracy…..at least for now.

Just tried looking mine up on several site and all say they can't give an instant cash offer because its too rare. I have to schedule an inspection.
MY DEALER SAID...I was the first one they've seen with a 12 inch screen, painted fender flares, power seats and only the 2nd with a hard top (other one was a base). Both dealerships in the area are owned by the same person so they see the inventory for both. So apparently I have a really rare car in this area and can't get a comparable offer.

OBX, 2.7, Lux, Hardtop, non-sas, Roast Leather, PPF, A51, 500 miles

It hard to say if I would sell. I really love this thing but $15k profit is hard to pass up.

It was already confirmed that was the price and any deviation would be from things like missing packages or damage. This is pre inspection lol.

I've sold three cars online and it's all be the same with no movement in the final number.

We didn't really have to wait so maybe I'm just spoiled. I called a few dealers and told them I wanted a 4 door bronco any trim and I would buy it the next day after they called me. We had a 2021 Bronco Sport for trade in loaded with gear. Got a ton of calls like 2 weeks later for ours and haggled our trade in value up. So we weren't far from MSRP.

I've gotten about 6 calls now begging me to buy their Bronco because apparently "no one can afford them". Most want 3-5k over MSRP which isn't a huge deal to me.

I mostly agree with what you said, but this isn't a 20 year old house, apples and oranges. My point was there is an active thread to post one star reviews to a Stealership for a $3000 adm they added at delivery. It's okay for the OP to flip for profit, but not the dealer. It just sound hypocritical to me. Believe me, I've had enough problems with my own dealer, I am far from being on their side and I will support anyone on here that runs into problems. Seems to me the OP is asking permission or to see what others will think if they do flip it. I just gave another option. God Bless America and Lets Go Brandon!

To be fair selling it to a stealership type place makes me feel better knowing they are going to lose at least 7 try trying to sell it lol.

But in reality I don't think my wife is going to want to go through the hassle of getting a new car and then another new car in another few months. We will most likely keep it, but it's not even up to me.
