When I am playing music using android auto on my sync 4, every now and then the music cuts out for a second or so. Anyone else experience this?
I feel like there might be something wrong with my sync 4 since the day when I was going to receive the car from the dealership, the screen was frozen. Then the dealership disconnected the battery for a few minutes and then it worked. The car was new.

Wired or wireless? If wired, get a new cable. If wireless, does it still happen if you go wired?

Wireless. I haven't tried wired, but I'll give it a shot and update next time I go for a drive. Thanks for the suggestion.

It seems the wireless app projection of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay uses only the 2.4Ghz wifi connection, and that frequency is in high demand and prone to tons of interference. People using bluetooth nearby, wifi backhauls at businesses, other cars also doing wireless carplay. It's everywhere. I've been meaning to dig into the location of the antenna and see if I can't improve that setup a little.

There's loads of sync 4 problems (cameras, AA, lag, freezing, screen blackout, etc) after the October updates. Mine worked flawlessly before then.

Waiting game to see if the Rockstars can fix...

Yeah, I would say my initial software versions from Oct 2021 this stuff seemed a bit more stable, but I did have other issues and quirks that have since been fixed. Honestly I'd rather they just worked on stability and UI responsiveness and dropped all new feature development.

yeah, 1 sec dropouts on AA/wireless are now happening at least once or twice each drive now. It used to be sorta rare before the last update.

i just assumed it was the phone getting a new text or app notification and acting wonky for a second since I have many of them silenced, etc.
Haven't thought to look into it any farther, I'm usually driving and have better things to do at the moment.
