Stepped(passenger, my phone)out of Bronco for a picture. Phone disconnected as it should. When handed back to me it reconnected quickly. Music played. However, I noticed navigation froze. The entire radio froze. No control of CarPlay or Ford settings. Required reset.

If my CarPlay connected iPhone is taken out of the Bronco to the point where it disconnects, the only way to get it to reconnect is to turn off the Bronco and restart it. Personally, I am not so sure this is a Ford issue as much as it is an Apple issue. A similar experience occurs when using wireless CarPlay with a Harley.

It reconnected alright. The Ford controls were what was stuck. Could get to them.

I get it but mine doesn't freeze when I reconnect... don't get me wrong there are issues with sync but that's not one.... mine gets glitchy every no and again... especially when using the navigation. Had the same issue in my edge so I think it's just the programming...

Mine does this occasionally - music keeps playing, there is still an image in the screen but it’s froze and the touch control on the screen no longer works.

Don’t have to unconnect/reconnect for it to happen either. Just seems kinda random - maybe once a month. Happened just this weekend on the trail and the phone was in the truck the entire time.

Rebooting sync brings it back

I does sync fine if Bronco was shut off. Just not as described above on occasion. Today the garbled nav was back.
