Oh yeah it’s completely fine IMO
Every single person who has looked at my hardtop in the last 24 hours has mentioned that they like the texture. Unless you have a strong aversion to the textured look, you will be happy.

This thread has now become anything but ADV lol

Out of curiosity I just did a quick google search for "bronco hard top" with a computer at work that I have never done anything bronco related with. In order of appearance is 1.ADV, 2. Rallytop, 3. Turn Off Road. Anderson was not on the first page. My point is if people don't come to B6G then ADV is still the top result. The bad news for ADV is that there are so many posts here at B6G that right under there site link is all of the links to this thread and others here. It is encouraging that finally the other manufacturers are at least there to be seen. People can purchase what they want but to not have all of the info about who you are buying from is your own fault these days.

Until ADV actually produces tops to customers, the only thing to discuss are the hardtops that are actually available :)

And yes, we are fortunate to live in the Information Age where it only takes a small amount of effort to understand the market, sellers, and products. People placing orders today with ADV for a hardtop have not made much effort to learn about the situation.

I have a question. Do you think the ADV top can be waxed? ;) lol
Close your eyes and imagine an ADV top in front of you. Then imagine waxing it and see the results. That’s as close as you’ll get to see if the imaginary top can handle imaginary wax.

😎

I wonder how long is current wait time for Anderson top???
I swung by the shop I ordered mine from to talk to them for a minute. The owner said he got an email that Anderson sent out a blast saying "in stock". So find a local dealer and give them a call.

I just installed my newly received Anderson Composites white hardtop today. Build quality appears impressive and installation was relatively easy. Coming from a soft top, my initial impression is that road and wind noise is reduced by 40% to 50%. Only a few hours in but couldn’t be happier with the product for now.

My dealer said The AC white top is NOT a match, and was careful to make sure I wasn't trying to color match to a white Bronco when I finalized my order. It's a white-white for sure.

How do I know? I also installed mine yesterday, and it was indeed pretty painless (getting the soft top off was most of the work). Rush hour in Houston was blissfully quiet this morning - I had gotten so used to the ambient city noise with the softie that it felt like I was driving a Rolls (minor exaggeration there).

I'm almost embarrassed to add that it was almost two months on the nose from order date to delivery date, which BMC Extreme Customs said was the fastest they'd seen. He hypothesized I got in just in time to make it into this first white batch, so I think my experience isn't necessarily a "new normal". After the Ford MIC debacle, the ADV version of Waiting for Godot and TURN deciding not to produce white tops — not to mention waiting nearly three years for my vehicle itself — I'll take it.
