What a scam!

A Rally Top at $4k isn't looking so bad after all. And it's AVAILABLE. They also re-designed their back window (see pic below) which was a big turn off for many. I'm not saying this is a good top, but it's the cheapest, available, and would work for many who just need a seasonal hard top.

In all honesty, that looks 1000x better than when they first came out or at least how I remembered they looked. In fact, if you are someone who doesn't object to the looks of the MIC (which to me is a deal killer but to each his own) this would be a no brainer.

So, last year we were all just waiting for the fabled "rubber" to arrive at ADV headquarters, on what we all assumed was a slow boat from China...
Now, it sounds like that was never the case at all. I wonder if the original rubber they rejected was from a Chinese manufacturer, so they pivoted to one in the US, and then had to ship that TO China?
Curiouser and curiouser...

I cannot wait for the eventual Netflix Documentary about the ADV Hardtop conspiracy...

There is some grainy super 8 movie camera footage going around showing an ADV hardtop sitting on the grassy knoll. That answers alot of questions.

Very thankful I'm not on the hook for one of these. The whole idea of putting down a deposit for a top didn't sit right with me.

It looks like I could stick my arm through the gap between the rear glass and the rest of the top. Even if it was $1,000, I don't think I'd be interested in that top.

I think they may be offering hard tops with undefined delivery date, built F24 style where the fuselage is made in one state, the wings in a other, the engine in a different country. Perhaps the mystery offer is they get you to choose which country your top is built in. Or perhaps these are just leftovers from their Trick or Treat Halloween promotion
