If you don’t see it in your regular mail check spam or junk

I have flagged and moved and it keeps going back to junk

When were the first orders put in ?

Im a Dec. 22 but it seems some are 6 months or more ahead on order placement

I also wouldn't panic either. When I was a customer of ADV's, I wasn't getting any of their email updates - Nothing in my inbox or "junk" folder. However my order was in their system, so it might be some other technology gremlin.

Imagine being able to order a Mabett hardtop off Amazon for $2k in 6 months 💀
While I would imagine they have non disclose, copyright etc, hopefully backed up with a letter of credit or something along those lines. That is one of the many risks you have to take if you a dealing with companies in of all places china. Sometimes , it's not worth taking the risk.
I bought a prefabricated aluminum folding t top for my cc.
I had to cut it down 3 inches so I could reach the rod holders.
I'm fine, but almost all my tall friends are hitting their heads.
But. The welder who did the cut-down told me he couldn't buy the raw aluminum tubing for what I paid for the top I don't know the adv is made, but I would imagine it would be a lot more for them to make it.
This is a big factor.
As I said before, if it passes adv quality control that's all that matters and it could be made on the moon for all I care

Im just thinking out loud here but my guess is that they are having them built overseas and having big problems with the manufacture and quality control...they must have found out there design had flaws and had to go back to the drawing board?...hence the delay?

It doesn't sound like they are in house building the tops but I could be wrong on that.....would luv to get some intel on this..
Hmmm, I had my suspicions on this....the lack of work force was an oversea work force

After watching the newish video there was a lot of "back to the drawing board" scenario and delays with the top..

Interesting.

I still will say that if they had been transparent about the revisions, and redo's, that answer would have satisfied many people.

Hopefully, people who ordered now will receive their product and be happy.

Also explains why they weren't shipping out tops as they were completed. Makes no sense to do so financially if they're coming from elsewhere.

Just wish there'd be more transparency with this, as they seem to be avoiding the conversation. Most folks won't care where they're made, they just want to know where their product is being built is all.

If you are buying a product that you are told is being built completely in house in the USA, it helps justify a $6k+ price tag. If that same product you thought you were buying you later found out was being manufactured elsewhere, it would definitely effect my opinion on it and the price tag that goes with it.

However these are all just conspiracies like most of this thread is. Which ADV is entirely to blame for because their lack of communication and extremely vague statements that began once they had delivery/supply issues. In the beginning when they were hyping the product and then started collecting deposits they were very communicative and posted on here regularly.

It does make more sense now. Of course this is still speculation but it does make sense that they are not shipping any because they don't have them to ship (maybe they have finally arrived who knows). Basically batches will be coming in shipping containers it seems like.

I guess they didn't want to tell us that they were manufacturing overseas? Very pricey in consideration. $7k+ was acceptable for a product being built in house in CA by employees being paid CA wages, not by foreign workers getting paid pennies for the same work. I'm not sure if this info would have swayed me from cancelling or not but had they said they were waiting on their manufacturer to get the tooling and process dialed in on the other side of the globe well at least the massive delay would have made sense and they would not look like some fly by night amateur outfit. Really feel lied to about the whole thing and the quality is priority one bit. In fact it was all a story about supply chain/QC/labor problems. Just my opinion, but it would be pretty hard to stomach putting extra profits into the owners pockets after being told a lie for the last 18 months.

TO did a great job of describing how/where/when their tops will be manufactured. The price point is nice also.

An introduction to Occam's razor would do you well. A made in china top -- which is far more the simplest conclusion at this point than conspiracy -- at this pricetag is a serious red flag, before even considering the lack of transparency..

Lesser quality standards and cheaper materials. We're talking about plastic and rubber here that is going to cook in hot vehicles that will sit out in the sun for hours or days once installed. Cheaper product almost always means higher concentration of adverse chemicals.

We've long known the shortcomings of the OEM top. Now it's clear what the tradeoff is with ADV's. The only question left to answer: How lucky do you feel?

If it’s truly manufactured overseas which it seems like is highly likely at this point, I’ll wait for the Mabett version at Mabett prices 😂

Jk I have an Anderson on order, but if one did pop up at a better price before my top comes in it would be hard to say no

i hope that if it is in fact made in China, that they would have to follow ADVs standard for manufacturing the top. If i remember correctly, one of the first delays was that ADV didnt like the original molding and upgraded to a higher grade.

HOWEVER, all cards are off the table if it is China and they make a knock-off version of the top and sell it under another label THATS WHERE I BELIEVE YOU WILL SEE QUALITY DROP.
So, i put my faith that ADV will enforce the quality that they are know for in THE TOPS THEY SELL.
