Well, I am glad they finally decided to do something. A little information is better than no information. This may plug some holes in the dam, but perhaps, it may be too late.

Hopefully, the video shows how and what the installation looks like. Also, it seems a bit strange that ADV does not want to show POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS what they are doing. But I digress....

I wish everyone who is still waiting for thier top luck with their tops and hopes people receive them when it was told they would get them.

Check your email ladies and gents!!

We finally got an update on the top. Assuming this all holds, batches 1-3 (apparently I fall into one of these groups) will be shipping in Jan, Feb, and March.

I live in Wisconsin now, so it sucks that this is the timeframe, because this is when I could really use it! Either way, I appreciate the update and a little more transparency into what's going on. I'm still weary and suspicious, but if something happens to these dates and they slide again? No bueno.
Actually, they never said March. They just said “…batch 3 to follow batch 2…”

Aaaaand you Nailed this, with ADV's late Friday afternoon email that went out
I mean, he just illustrated my earlier comment but that's cool. Good job on your prediction @j_marinelli - Can you tell me tomorrow's winning lottery numbers next? 😁

Did I hear that correctly? Millions spent on tooling? The video looks like they cropped in video from their manufacturer. If not, all of this heavy machinery is at their facility?

Impressive, otherwise this is incredibly deceptive.

Okay, I dug a little into this because I’m fascinated at this point. The manufacturer they use to build these hardtops is clearly based in Asia.

What you’re looking at is likely the same iPhone 6 video the manufacturer sent to ADV. They took that awful horizontal video, matched the same aspect ratio to make it appear as if they are one seamless operation.

How do I know? Take a peek at the safety signage around the hardtops and heavy machinery. Also pay attention to the newspaper wrapping around one of the hardtop pieces.

ADV’s video content is primo quality, this would be no exception, unless it’s not their video.

Nothing wrong with designing here, manufacturing there, but my gosh this appears deceptive.

Super simple answer here. Your hardtops are not here, they are either at the manufacturer overseas, or staging at a port, about to go into a container.

Good catch Elonmsk , the video did seem odd and although I can not focus on the signage of that fire extinguisher with my phone , that will tell all.

Not sure how to process this if true

conspiracy theory --well, the guy with the short haircut in the manufacturing facility looked oriental to me. but the guy with the ADV shirt with the parts was not. neither was wearing a protective hat.

maybe some is made overseas and then shipped to the USA for FINAL ASSEMBLY,

however, I really dont care if its made on the moon as long as it passes ADVs quality control and I get my top on the bronco before I have to go upstate NY in the spring on 95 with the noise etc. right through my soft top,

looking forward to seeing what batch im in. first 30 minute order, hopefully in the first batch. unless there are other factors, one piece vs modular, wiper and soundproofing, color. remember what ford did with the fulfilling by order.

wish ADV the best in getting us all through this.

No conspiracy, just a truthful observation if the signage for the fire extinguisher is a foreign language then the factory is overseas.

Presses and fixtures for manufacturing have been built in china for decades with many Jeir presses in action right now stamping out panels for US autos.

Day 1 ADV order holder. Finally decided it was time to cancel my order. I have an OEM hardtop but like ADV's products and figured I would sell my OEM top when ADV arrived. I have actually have had zero issues with my OEM top and would rather put the money into a Whipple Tune and Intercooler and other fun stuff. Good news is ADV was super responsive and issued my full refund in 24 hours with a kind apologetic email.
