Wow, this is a hot mess now. A really hot mess. The "Supply Chain" excuse is starting to wear thin in many industries. It's just not going to cut the mustard anymore.

Not sure what happened at ADV, but this current crop of excuses is not going to cut it, especially with competition delivering on products, and more doing research to create and supply tops.

Are the supply chain issues holding up their delivery of their fenders, too?

I like how they continue to say “out of our control”. Your supplier is the vendor you selected. It is and was in your control. Boycott them and go with someone else if you have to. So yes, things can be in your control. Management of your vendors/suppliers is in your control.

Also, why won’t they explain why their final production is going “slower than ever expected”? What’s the problem? Is it as simple as half your staff quit or something like that?

the ac top currently has a 24 week waiting time, they are not turning them around fast either.
we are getting delayed a month at a time here. hopefully its that close to being reality.
could also be a minor modification required for the top to be perfect and that would explain why shipping is delayed . could be a personnel problem. lots of could be , I doubt we will ever know
i would hate to be the one that cancels and then a week later sees shipments start

I could care less at this point. I cancelled my order, and even if they ship tomorrow, a week, or a month, I could care less. There's other options out there, and I'd rather support a company that didn't jerk me around for almost a year. I'm more about the principle of things vs. the top itself.

Technically - Yes. Someone a few posts up mentioned they had provided "pre-production" tops to a handful of YouTuber influencers - "industry experts" - to try out.

I could care less at this point. I cancelled my order, and even if they ship tomorrow, a week, or a month, I could care less. There's other options out there, and I'd rather support a company that didn't jerk me around for almost a year. I'm more about the principle of things vs. the top itself.

I am gonna wait it out.
1,as people cancel I move to the front
2 when I am the last diehard still waiting in 2030, I will be given one for being so loyal
3, by then my bronco has gotten used to the soft top and reject it.

Get your refund and run.

Them using the frase " happy to send you the refund" is the red flag. A refund means something went wrong, what vendor would be happy to admit that?
Might mean in their words, one less case to deal with...

You can always get one when they provide the top and prove the quality stands its worth.
Anyway, who wants to get the first of any product with zero field testing?

So they have quality issues before the tops are on the road. Wow. This, paired with their zero warranty, run as fast and before they can't pay back the refunds...

In case anyone is interested, when I asked for details about the feedback ADV has received from the "industry experts", this is the link they sent:

I was disappointed that this is the only feedback ADV is willing to share since it doesn't tell us anything new about the top, and doesn't actually tell us how it is holding up and performing. It just talks more about the top's design, which is info we all already know and is not really helpful feedback if you ask me.

Also interesting that the only feedback they can share is from Instagram, but yet this person is not an influencer.... I would think that industry experts have more professional ways of sharing comprehensive feedback...
