Why are you all freaking out about the shipping cost?

If Quadratec can ship the Mopar top to the continental US for 199$, why shouldn't ADV be able to do this?

Ford Bronco ADV Bronco Hardtop Pricing ANNOUNCED Screenshot_20220210-080131

Not talking about the ADV one piece, but the Mopar also is not compact.

Sadly, I am out for the ADV top, as a business owner there is no way I can support this kind of marketing, drop by drop. I honor there effort but i'm convinced there are others keeping it quiet in the background (learning from the info) and also getting the job done.

What do they say, barking dogs don't bite.

Will there ever be a ADV top?

As i said before, building a Top is a complete different story than a hood or fender. Why not leave this market to the existing, proven companies.

Why invest in tools, facilities, manpower and so on. The existing manufacturers will be the first choice for many. We know they can stand up for warranty and have experience in the top market.

they’ve delivered on all the other products they’ve committed to so far. Why not?
Completely different product and they will not make money on it.

As soon as they could be starting to make cash the others will also be in the market.

Hope i don't sound like an ADV basher. Hope the best for them!

@ADV Fiberglass I am wondering how sturdy will this hardtop be? How much weight will it be able to support? I am planning on a rack and rooftop tent and would like to know if this top will be strong enough for that, especially since there is no bar that goes across the b pillar for support. Thanks for any insight you can share.

Someone posted that ADV is getting $400 to ship their hood. I'm thinking the hood packed for shipping would be 1/4 the size and weight of a top. No matter what you do, they plan on passing along the shipping charge/Bronco tax. The top would be too large to ship UPS or FedEx, so would need to ship common carrier. They charge by both actual and dimensional weight. I'm betting over $1k for shipping.

The shipping thing should be rolled in. Many of the RTT companies ship their items with the shipping hidden into the cost and it feel likes less of a blow. Those things weight 150 lbs+. Their hoods shouldn't cost $400 to ship.

For instance - Roofnest Falcon XL - $3795 - shipped to your door. No hidden fees. No BS. Easy click into immediate financing options with 0% interest for 12 months. (They're actually $600 off right now). Once you feel like you are being burned by extra costs and inconveniences - you walk away.

For those prices they can keep those tops. I would not spend around 50k-60k on a vehicle and then have to spend another 5-6k for a top. If Ford can't get their shit together with the tops and the other quality problems, they can keep the new Bronco.

Our top will be able to support comparable weight to the factory hardtop. The roof rails will connect to the factory positions (up front at the windshield frame and at the rear of our hardtop).

The Original Ford hardtop right now is also being price gouged at $6800 including the window. why do I know this because I ordered it and backed out from buying it from my dealer. by the time I buy the ADV Fiberglass one ship and paint it. i'll be over that! I really do want a hard top but not willing to pay that premium just because !!! I bet $100 bucks that if we all have patience we will get them for half the price and painted soon.

"As a business owner" you can't understand why a company would want to invest in an untapped market??? A lot of todays industry leading products are produced by people & companies who didn't sit by and leave the market to the existing and proven.

Just when you think the arm-chair quarterback responses in this thread couldn't get anymore absurd.

"As a business owner" i know half the folks here are out "price to high", half of the rest is just bla bla and the rest will get it from ford or a proven manufacturer.

I don't think the production of the product was the point here. I believe swiss bronco is referring more to the marketing and slow teaser of the product. I have to agree, it's a big turn off from buying anything from ADV regardless of the quality and design.

@ADV Fiberglass I know you mentioned in a previous post about only focusing on 4 door tops at this time, but you may consider 2 door tops if you get enough interest. How much interest would be needed to move forward? After your current projects of course.

I was playing around with some designs and your top looks pretty good on a 2 door based off my picture

We will revisit the 2 door topic in the future. Yes we agree, looks very nice!

Buying one at the parts counter is entirely different than adding to a build.
