Accessories belt blew up (2.7L engine)

My new 24 black diamond only had 1500 kms on it when both banks of cam phasers started rattling, and now at 2800 kms, the accessories belt shredded today... I didn't hear anything and just smelled some burning rubber from the wheel well after parking it. Popped the hood and saw the strings of belts and residue everywhere. Had it towed to Ford 2 days earlier than my scheduled phaser replacement. Anyone experience this? Saw some failing belts on the bronco sport forums but haven't seen much on our 2.7. First ever Ford and kind of bummed at all the majorish issues. So far way less reliable than my BMWs and 40 year old Datsun haha

There have been a few broken belts here but it’s not a common thing.

It’s a belt, they sometimes go bad. It sucks yours went early but it’s usually not a catastrophic thing and easy to replace

Glad I saw this post because shorty after at 5K miles my cam phasers failed and I started smelling burnt rubber to I had them install a new belt when did the lasers this week.

The belt was not in the original scope. It's must be encountering abnormal resistance somehow.

Dang your belt too? We're like twins, phasers, belt. Have them check your brake lights too haha. That's what went wrong with mine after the belt...

It's probably some emissions crap where they need to use a special type of rubber for low carbon or some bs. No clue but epa seems to be the downfall of modern automobiles
