Hey All,
Black Friday arrived a New York Minute after taking delivery of my Badlands 2-door. I was surprised (my bad) that there were no fog lights and I didn't fully have time to consider my options before placing an order for my fog light kit. I've revisited my choices since the DD kit arrived and I've put in a follow-up order with 4x4 that fine tunes those choices. This has given rise to a few misc questions as I move forward...
1) anyone know the torx driver size to remove / swap lens from a SSC2? Its far smaller than anything I have in my toolbox.
2) since I am swapping in an amber fog lens into one of my sets of SSC2's, I will easily be able to rotate the lens to sit correctly within the upside-down KR bracket mount. What about my SS3 fog lens - does that also need to be rotated 180 to aim correctly? I assume that the SSC2 Spot lens needs no adjustment since the lens is a pass thru (?).
3) I'm a total newbie on installing aftermarket electronics into a car. I recognize the need to disconnect the battery before proceeding. Seems like undoing the neg connection would suffice - any gotchas to keep in mind? And finally, is there anything I need to know as far as rebooting the Bronco's computer system etc once I am finished?
4) Finally, I've revisited my original choice to NOT get a backlit SS3 and ordered a new set that has backlighting. This leaves me with a pair of SS3's without a home. I may pass them along at a loss. But before I do, I am wondering if there's a small bracket or kit to add them to the factory bush bar or somewhere on the modular bumper. With the bush bar and my license plate bracket filling bolts top and bottom of the bumper, I am thinking I've just about run out of mounting space there. If anyone has added a small 2 light setup and liked what they got, I'd love to see what you did. I don't expect to do any deep off road wandering, but one never knows. At the very least, they may offer up some nice campsite setup illumination.
Thanks in advance! for any insight into any of the above.
